Do they discuss the meltdowns after this stuff happens? Or do they just hang their head and have coach tell them "you'll get em' next time"?? Dang, those last few minutes were just embarrassing for NBA athletes..

No. We don't suck. Minnesota sucks. They're missing 4 out of the 5 guys that started for them this year. They don't even have a small forward. Hell, I've never even heard of about half the guys that got minutes tonight. We just got beat by Rubio, Ridnoir, Barea, D.Williams and Dante Cunningham.
We have way more talent than them right now. We lost because of lack of execution, and because of absolutely horrible play by Nene throughout, and by Wall in the 2nd half.
I'm not sure about the logic. If you lose to a team that sucks - and didn't have any of their starting front court - you pretty much suck - no matter how you dress it up. There's no way to talk our way out of it. We... suck.

Not to defend EG but Dan Fagen (Rubio and Gil's agent) made it emphatically clear that Rubio would not play for the Wiz.
That little tidbit doesn't seem to be mentioned enough when Rubio is brought up.
Thats right. I do remember that. What a douche.
Oh yeah, and we were soooo close to a championship run, so close in fact that Foye and Miller put us over the top. Those were good times, ey? Thank God we didn't draft Stephen "Aligator Arms" Curry.

Uhh, game management is a pretty big part of being a PG. And he's not just "better" than Wall in that department, there is cavernous gaping chasm between them.
He basically has fewer tunovers a game, is what I mean, outside of that I see no reason to anoint him as better yet. Although Wall needs to fix this issue. Part of the problem is that our team's BB iq doesn't seem that high outside of like...Beal, Nene, and Webster. Everyone on this team has unfortunate moments of spazzing out.
It's not just turnovers, it's his feel for the game, ability to control pace, etc. Those are things that don't show up in the stats. When Rubio is out there you can trust him to make the right play 99% of the time. With Wall it's more like "please make the right play, please make the right play"
There's a reason why every other week you hear star players and coaches praising Rubio and saying they would love to play with him. He has a natural feel for the game that Wall will probably never attain.
Remember, this is a guy who was the floor general for the Spanish national team as a teenager. In the game managing department he's not just better than Wall , he's better than most PGs in the league.

I still say the problem was that we didn't make them pay for going small. Wall, Ariza and Webster were guarded by Barea, Rubio and Ridnoir respectively. One of those guys needed to go post up. Wall has 7 freaking inches on Barea, maybe 8.

Agreed. We had really poor matchups, and played them even worse in the 4th. Yet we still would have won if even half of our team was concentrating with regularity. Its like we had to work to lose.

I thought you were implying that the team has no talent, and therefore, Wall, Nene or whatever other scapegoat one wants to name isn't to blame. I say that's absolutely not the case. We played like suck. We don't actually suck. On paper, we're a middle-of-the-road team with a heck of a lot more talent than what Minnesota put on the floor.

He also cost a lot less and will likely always cost less.

dude we can't.......I think Ernie is Vinny Cerrito . The funny thing is Vinny was a better GM Simply because he atleast tried to trade for players and get us players that might of been decent. Ernie has done everything wrong .
I wish we had Patrick Ewing as the HC since he interviewed I believe the season started.

I said we suck. I didn't say we didn't have the ability to play better. And we (actually they) do suck. There's no getting around the Wiz' record. They are what their record is. You can dress it up and shine it up real nice, but they are an awful team.

Why do you care about Rubio? Wake me up when he's as good as Ty Lawson.

Come on. You have a short memory. You saw all those teams they beat.
They don't have depth. Beal was out and they traded Crawford who was their best ball handing guard. MIN was a bad match up with Wall, no Beal or another ball handler out there to help him against Ricky and JJ. They were just to quick and they couldn't make them pay for it.
Suck? No. Thin? Yeah. Terrible coaching? Yeep. Sucky Game ? Hell yeah.

What gives you that idea? Rubio is getting a max or near max if they want him to stay in Minnesota. No question about it

I agree on this point. I did notice in the first half that Wall was cutting to the hoop more often tha normal but the bigs either weren't passing it out or were turning it over.
Wittman....I have a lot to say about his coaching but what's the point. This is what happens when you hire a coach based on price

Was there a three-way call with Steph Curry's agent? If he also said his client would not play for the Wizards then that mitigates EG's passing up two PGs who are better than Wall, just for one season of Miller and Foye.

A third PG better than Wall could have been a Wizard if EG had insisted on the #18 pick that Minny traded to Denver. That turned out to be Lawson. This isn't to slam Wall, but to point out just how bad EG is. Everybody liked Lawson and Curry.

CCJ—Rubio is not better than Wall...not at all. Stop with the bias.
