No the only confusion was on the Hornets part. Anybody who's played ball at some level knows that on an inbound play you have to defend your basket. The Hornets weren't defending their basket it's that simple. Mike drew up the "stack" to get either Nash or Kobe free, once Kobe and Blake realized how they lined up Kobe made his bee line for the basket the Hornets were suppose to be defending.
