VVV, we are entitled to our opinions, it doesn't mean we are "degenerating" into ranting. I don't care who Casey has worked with/attempted to learn from. He's too stubborn. How can you possibly defend a professional basketball coach who inserted Bargnani into the game for the purpose of "matching up with Luke Walton." That's impossible. How about last season when we were up 1 or 2 pts with only a few seconds left, and Casey inserts Magloire into the game. Magloire receives the inbound pass, and proceeds to brick a couple free throws. These are OBVIOUS mistakes that only a bad coach would make. There's no possible way to defend moves like that. He doesn't even know what a 2 for 1 is.

Blaming Casey for the current record is the easy way out. Firing the coach is easier than holding players accountable. I don't think Casey is perfect, but the roster is flawed. Too much redundancy, and not enough players committed to good defense.

You honestly cannot have Gay, Derozan and Bargnani on court together for long stretches because they are all poor team defenders. But, at the same time, you can't just add in the others bench players we have to compensate. They just are not talented enough.

Casey has juggled line-ups, and tried different bench groups, but ultimately, we have a poor back-up PG, who cannot defend, and can only get shots for himself. You also have no front court beyond Amir that provides shot-blocking and above average defense. Maybe JV develops into that, but that will likely be year three, since he is only 20 now.

Basically, you can get away with our starters for some of the time, because they can score well, but our bench is not going to bail us out because there are too many flaws to be patched up. WE have a work in progress, but I don't think it is Casey's fault.

By that logic Triano is a terrific coach also.

http://www.cbc.ca/sports/basketball/nba/game/1242319/
NOTES: The Raptors are 0-9 when Bargnani scores 20 or more. ... Former Warriors G Sarunas Marciulionis, drafted in the sixth round by Golden State in 1987, was in attendance as part of European Community Night.

This is how many years of non-stop losing seasons....

I think people need to voice it more. This is ridiculous. The Raptors are using the name of our city on a huge stage and are making Toronto as a sports city look soft.

This is all on BC. This has really got to stop. They Gay trade was good, but we're still nowhere. We need another guy in charge with a coach who has some balls to develop our team.

Our team will go nowhere with BC and the meddling he does with coaches. Whatever young talent we have will be lost in more bust trades until our franchise really dies.

And let's be clear. It says Toronto in the name. NBA gets to use the name by being in our city. We shouldn't have to deal with chumps like Bargnani or Casey or Colangelo who don't take the responsibility seriously. We pay for the games, we pay for the entertainment, and we aren't getting anything in return for our money.

I hope people continue to voice their discontent at games, and louder. At Bargs. At Casey. At the complete failure of BC.

If Smitch has the courage to come out and speak up against the double standards that BC sets, and the spinning of narratives and spinning of wheels that the Raptors organization does, then so should the fans.

At the games, and out of the games. And fans should seriously consider no longer spending money on the bust entertainment of Raptors that MLSE offers. This is too far and too long.

Ive made it implicitly clear, how I feel about Casey as a coach in this thread, youre welcome to go back and read. Imparting your narrative about what I was implying, without reading the rest of the context is how you came to this point.

I'm not giving MLSE another dollar until... Colangelo, Casey and Bargnani are permanently
removed from this franchise for good.

He's obviously sent by the NBA to screw us over and keep us irrelevant.

Dwayne casey is embarassing

When I saw aaron gray entering the game in OT i knew dwayne had just blown the game

My prediction came to fruition when aaron gray attempted to double Kobe... they literally could've put ANY player in there BUT gray and it would have been a better choice... HOW THE **** IS GRAY SUPPOSED TO DOUBLE KOBE?

How's Casey supposed to know? When he draws with his marker on his clipboard, it's not like one marker draws slower than the other.

Can we PLEASE organize a day/time to spam twitter with #FireCasey tweet? This board should reach some sort of critical mass.

This organization is spitting on the fan's faces playing AA and Gray over Ross and JV. The season's freeking over. Just let them play!
