Surprised about everyone's level of ball. Its too bad we don't all live closer so we can play some pickup games. It would be pretty hilarious, a game full of white PG/SG's and then Brother Dave as the overpowering center.

Age? 25 - holy hell how time has flown by. I remember when fats was 34. I started bobcatalley at age 16.

Location? Carolina born and bred. Blowing Rock, NC

Profession? Restaurant manager/part owner

What did you study (or are you studying)? Ended up as Comm/Broadcasting major, but have backgrounds in engineering and graphic design. Web design was my passion when I was a middle-highscooler, but quickly grew out of it when I realized how much work and money it was, as I was too immature. Gave up on bobcatalley and joined RealGM

Level of basketball? I played all the way through til High School, where I finally made varsity my senior year. How quickly you gain weight and get out of shape after that though.

Compare your game to current/former Bobcat? Uhh...not many options here, but I like to have compared myself to Manu Ginolbi. I was never blessed with athleticism/height, but I have some wicked post moves.

Why did you become a Bobcats fan? Massive Hornets fan, massive all things-north carolina fan.

Favorite piece of Bobcats history, relevant or irrelevant? That time period right before the playoffs, that was a magical era for this board and its posters.

What does your screen name mean? Ask 1998 11 year old Andrew, because this was my AOL Instant messenger name I picked when the program first came out. I guess I stuck with it.

Favorite Bobcat of all-time? Hard with so many disappointing draft picks that never panned out. Guess I'll go with Crash

Favorite other NBA players of all-time? Glen Rice, Elden Campbell, David Wesley, Baron Davis, PJ Brown, Reggie Miller, Rik Smits, John Stockton, Michael Jordan, Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pippen

If you didn’t support the Bobcats what NBA team would you support? I probably wouldn't watch the NBA, but I grew up liking the Pacers as well because I always wanted to see them beat the Bulls bandwagon everyone was on in elementary school. The NBA was HUGE back then.

Other sports played growing up? I was always a much better soccer player, but it was more a hobby. But I played soccer and basketball every year from age 5-18 pretty much.

What other sports teams to you support? Carolina Panthers, App State, NC State. I'm equally as big a Panthers fan as Bobcats, but I give the edge to Bobcats, because I feel like they are my team, I was 17 when they came about, and have devoted a lot of time to them.

Hobbies? I'm a huge Nintendo nerd, currently collecting old game posters and framing them to put on my wall. I also am an internet addict, and love TV and movies.

Favorite music? Here's where I'm unique: I only listen to video game music. Almost exclusively. Been building my library for years now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Qp-ypYp6rQ

Favorite TV shows/movies? Seinfeld, SURVIVOR, Amazing Race, The Office, Pawn Stars. Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, anything Quentin Tarantino, Bond movies, anything Daniel Day Lewis, basically any good man movie

Tattoos (how many, where)? none - although I'm sure you would like to know, fats

Your dream team of hot chicks? Biggest crush on pre-adulthood Christina Ricci growing up. She did not age well.
Other notables include Andrea from this season of survivor
and pre-hair cut Emma Watson (I'm so lame)
Image Image Image

Other sites you visit to waste time (SFW)? video game boards, youtube, carolina huddle, espn

I know I'm only a 'ballboy' here, as my tag suggests, but I read you since 2008-2009, and as I represent 1/3 of Hungary's die-hard Bobcats fans I thought I add my answers. I hope you don't mind.

Age? 26
Location? Budapest, Hungary - born and raised in Szolnok, Hungary (80.000 inhab.)
Profession? Wholesale dealer in computer technology (part-owner and manager)
What did you study (or are you studying)? 1 exam and 5 state examinations away from being a lawyer. I hope I'll never work in that field :)
Level of basketball? On a 1 to 10 scale around 2
Compare your game to current/former Bobcat? Jahidi White? I'm 6'1-6'2 with not much athleticism. I'm quite okay on defense though, so I don't know...
Why did you become a Bobcats fan? My favourite team growing up was the LAL, but after a while it started to wearing me off... too much luck, success... I like the underdogs. So when the Bobcats were announced, I swored lifelong allegance.
Favorite piece of Bobcats history, relevant or irrelevant? The days around expansion draft, the buzz in the first month with Bernie, the short-lived PO...
What does your screen name mean? It's my actual first name
Favorite Bobcat of all-time? CRASH. One of my favourite players all-time.
Favorite other NBA players of all-time? Growing up Shaq, Ben Wallace, young Pietrus, young Arenas, Jason Kidd. Actually I like hardworkers more than 'stars'.
If you didn’t support the Bobcats what NBA team would you support? Lakers (I know, I know...), Raptors
Other sports played growing up? volleyball, football (as you would call it soccer)
What other sports teams to you support? My hometown basketball team (best in Hungary) Szolnoki Olajbányász -Szolnok Oilers in english, Bayern München, St. Louis Rams
Hobbies? reading, series watching, games, going out, wandering the streets
Favorite music? alternate, indie, acid-jazz, electro-jazz, fusion-folk, psychodelic/alter rock
Favorite TV shows/movies? too many. comedy: Parks&Rec, Scrubs, that '70s show, etc. Drama: Breaking Bad, Dexter, Walking dead, ripper street...
Tattoos (how many, where)? none
Your dream team of hot chicks? Emma Stone, Emma Watson (what's with these Emmas?), Eva Green, Blake Lively
Other sites you visit to waste time (SFW)? espn, hoopshype, and hungarian stuff mainly.

Age? 38 next month

Location? Ottawa, Canada via Kyneton/Melbourne Australia

Profession? Manger of the customer service division of a printing firm

What did you study (or are you studying)? I studied at the school of hard knocks

Level of basketball? Played State ball

Compare your game to current/former Bobcat? A grown up Biz with McBob's passing

Why did you become a Bobcats fan? I'd never aligned myself to a specific team and then I heard about the expansion team and I thought it would be great to follow a new franchise from its beggining and watch the team develop. Plus one of my best mates married a chick that went to UNC and I spent some time in North Carolina back in 2003 and had a wow of a time so I felt a bit of a connection.

Favorite piece of Bobcats history, relevant or irrelevant? Crash having that 2 and 2 season.

What does your screen name mean? Slam has been a long time nickname of mine. I "Shaq O'Neal'ed" a rim during a game once (not the back board, just the rim) and it just went from there. Slam was already taken as a user name at RGM when I joined so I just added the Big at the start (although I am fairly large I guess).

Favorite Bobcat of all-time? Crash

Favorite other NBA players of all-time? Matt Carroll. Everyone else sucks.

If you didn’t support the Bobcats what NBA team would you support? Hate to say it, but probably the Raptors just because they are local although I would rather it be someone like the Thunder.

Other sports played growing up? Aussie Rules, Cricket, competitive swimming, squash, golf.

What other sports teams to you support? Bombers (Aussie Rules), Senators (NHL), anything that Australia is being represented on the world sporting stage.

Hobbies? Used to sing in a band but that was a lifetime ago. Best hobby ever though. Playing Xbox. Been running a fair but this past 6 months (for the 1st time ever). Music. Drinking.

Favorite music? Everything and anything.

Favorite TV shows/movies? TV = The Voice, American Idol, X-Facor (pretty much any talent/singing show), Scandal, The Soup, Tosh, How I Met Your Mother - Movies = Get him tothe Greek, The Crow, Pump up the volume, Ghost, Happy Gilmore, Green Mile etc...

Tattoos? I have a small tatt of Sonic the Hedgehog on my right shoulder blade and I have a Southern Cross that goes from my elbow to my armpit on my inner right arm.

Your dream team of hot chicks? It would consist of chicks I actually know and not famous people - so it's pointless naming them because you guys wouldn't know them.

Other sites you visit to waste time (SFW)? I spend a crazy amount of time on YouTube. 8 tracks. Herald Sun. Facebook.

Age: 42. Jeezus. I’m the elder statesman here. If anyone needs advice on ogling the ladies without looking creepy or homemade cures for the rheumatism let me know. My hip also acts up when it’s gonna rain.

Location: London (England).

Profession: Owner - Digital Marketing Agency

What did you Study: undergrad – Philosophy and Lit. postgrad: a couple of tech degrees; digital media arts, internet marketing, etc.

Level of Basketball: Pickup scrub

Compare your game to current/former bobcat: prone to crying binges like Kelly Tripucka, maybe Raymond Felton if he was forced to play PF. Very streaky shooter, good passer, dribble & shoot with my left and right, like to bang around a bit, but too short not to get abused by taller players.

Why did you become a Bobcats fan? Grew up in CLT, family had season tix to ‘88 Hornets and was permanently hooked.

Favorite piece of Bobcats history: Hiring Larry Brown. Firing Larry Brown.

What does your screen name mean? That I’m lazy. First, middle, last initials.

Favorite Bobcat of All Time? Most of my faves were Hornets, but Bobcats would include Herrman, Chandler. I’m actually coming around on Sessions, if you can believe it – brings it every night.

Favorite Other NBA players of all time? His Airness, Dennis Rodman, LJ, Muggsy, Shaq, Scott Burrell (long story).

If You Didn’t Support the Bobcats, what NBA team would you support? Probably no one. I do find myself checking boxes for GSW and MIN though.

Other Sports Played Growing Up: American Football, Soccer.

What Other Sports Teams do you Support: NC-based College Basketball – UNC, UNCC, Duke, NC State, Wake Forest – tend to root for them all.

Hobbies? Movies, Cooking, the occasional alcoholic bender.

Favorite Music? Currently listening to Atlas Sound, Grizzly Bear, Fela Kuti, Kraftwerk, Ginger Baker Trio, new My Bloody Valentine, A$AP Rocky.

Recent Books? Civilization by Niles Ferguson, Blake’s London: The Topographic Sublime by Iain Sinclair, Umbrella by Will Self.

Favorite TV Shows: Currently, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, East Bound & Down.

Favorite Movies: God – I watch a filthy amount of movies. Anything Tolkien (I’m a fantasy geek), Blade Runner, Brazil, The Godfather. Recently enjoyed Argo, The Master, and Wreck-It-Ralph.

The Ladies? Mila Kunis does it for me. However, if I were gently coaxed into inviting additional participants, I could add a Keira Knightley or Eva Mendes into the mix without being too unhappy.

Other Websites I waste time on: DraftExpress, Facebook, Guardian

Tattoos: None. I actually woke up one morning in my late twenties next to this girl, drank a Budweiser tallboy, and she drove me to friggin’ Gastonia to get a tattoo. Thank god the place was closed, or I would have a caricature of Dolly Parton singing 9 to 5 or a cheering Rat Fink! driving an army tank on my back.

I can feel your pain. I'm right around 5'7.5 (never forget that .5) and it's always been hell playing basketball through the years. Being that short, though, does make your crossover hard to guard and helps pick pockets on defense

Can't believe I'm the "baby" of the group so far. I know Gilwalker is also a USC student, so he might have me beat, and apparently Penquin has me beat too.

I'm 5'8.5 so I feel your pain but I do have a 6'3 wing span that tends to help a fair bit. Also you got me beat by a year in the age department.

Return to Charlotte Hornets
