i think he has a better ceiling than most, he needs to add 15lbs or so and learn to play the wing/spot up shooter and we'll be golden!

Come on Denver.

do us one solid.

we would be a half game behind OKC going into Sunday's huge game.
a game we can really use to help us get over that San Antonio game.

Miami helped us out tonight by ending Memphis' 8 game winning streak. We now have a 3 game cushion over Memphis plus the tie-breaker.

And tony Parker killed his ankle. I never root for injury. And hope he gets better. But this is helpful too. Although knowing pop and SAS his replacements will avg 20/10

One league source said to expect Wolves president of basketball operations David Kahn to pursue Clippers wing Caron Butler in a trade this offseason. According to reports, the Clippers' front office had a trade worked out at the deadline to send Butler to Washington for forward Trevor Ariza, but owner Donald Sterling said no at the last second.

I'm not sure I get it from their perspective.

Why would the Wolves do this? They have Kirilenko, what role is Butler going to play on their team?

In terms of Ariza, while he can be a good defender, there's a big gap between Butler and Ariza when it comes to shooting ability, and another gap when it comes to scoring ability. I'll give Ariza props that his 3PT shooting isn't terrible this season as it was the last two seasons. He's best when he's slashing to the basket continuously and taking corner three's.

Earlier in his career, he actually did a good job just slashing since he couldn't really shoot, but he got a little better in 3PT shooting and started taking too many, and the wrong ones.

Looking at his shot chart, he's actually not bad on corner three's:
http://stats.nba.com/playerShotchart.html?PlayerID=2772

12/30 left and 14/28 on the right side, he's a bad shooter from all other 3PT areas, and as an opposing team, I wouldn't be extremely worried about him there. If you have an offense that can keep him mainly in the corner, you are good.

This is what the Spurs do with Leonard this season:
left corner: 22/52 (42.3%)
right corner: 20/40 (50%)
above the break: 7/39 (17.9%)

I don't know if Vinny is the type of coach that will be tough on the shots he takes, so while he could work in theory on offense, it depends on the coach. His defense is not bad though

Thought GSW claimed Travis Leslie on waivers? Sent him to D league, and now he's on the jazz? How's that work? What did I miss?

Leslie signed with the Warriors D-League Affiliate (Santa Cruz Warriors), but was free to be signed by any NBA team.

Shaun Livingston as a Cavalier:

6.1 pts / 2.3 rebs / 3.4 assists / 0.7 stls / 0.6 blks / 1.0 tov / .507 FG% / .560 TS%

per 36:
10.5 pts / 3.9 rebs / 6.0 assists / 1.1 stl / 1.0 blk / 1.7 tov

Yay for Shaun! I hope he continues to play well. One thing I've always felt about him is that he's a perfect guy to put as a primary ball handler next to a small scoring guard as he can guard SG's on defense, but play PG on offense.

anyone else think d rose is milking this acl? seems like hes being a little baby about it, doctors said he wont re injure it, he is healed, yet he isnt "mentally ready" to play. its been 11 months.
adrian peterson was back playing football in just over 8 months, and won MVP
iman shumpert, who tore his the same time as rose, has been back a while now.

to me, this is a bit ridiculous. id be pissed if i were a bulls fan, player, or had anything to do with the organization.

shump said he's not 100%

ima bit of a conspiracy theorist....thinking Shump did that to help Rose out.
whatever.

Rose is 3-4 weeks away from it being a complete year since his injury.
terrible.

I think he's scared. The mental hurdle is a big one. It's going to take some time for his body to get back to where it once was (if it ever does completely) whether he plays now or sits out the rest of the season. He's going to have to learn to trust his body again and get comfortable making basketball moves. I think the the whole hamstring thing was to take away some of the heat that his been thrown his way by the public.

If he's healthy, he needs to play period. That's the only way that he is going to begin the process of returning to form. It's better to get out some of the nerves now than waiting another 7 months and still having to clear some of those same mental hurdles in live action.

The Bulls don't want him to be limited in his return (i.e. no minute restriction or coming off of the bench), which is understandable. However, there should be no shame if he comes back and is on a minute restriction.
