Can't go wrong with Kick Push. The Cool is one of my favorites off the album (top notch story telling), but the whole thing is just a great piece of hip-hop history imo. Young and optimistic, yet still aware Lupe is >>> than over aware borderline conspiracy theorist and smug Lupe.

I even liked some of the tracks from F&L - 2 and it gets better with multiple listenings. I lost count of how many times I played "Around my Way" ever since it got leaked and I got super amped for that album. Its still a pretty good album and an acceptable career trajectory if you remove the abomination that was LASERS. Now that was terrible music.

I kind of felt sad when he said he was going to retire after F&L 2. Good to see that he announced a new album during the Grammies.

If he goes back to his The Cool form, I'd love it.

F&L - 2 isn't bad and you're right, it gets better with listens and it is a decent career trajectory if it weren't for Lasers (never thought about it in that perspective before). Around My Way is dope, but a lot of that is the sick T.R.O.Y. beat. He just tends to go out of his way to reference obscure things and doesn't have that energy or heart in his music (at least that I felt he used to have). I guess I'm just not sold as much on what he was saying. To me it felt like F*LII was LASERS trying to be F&L instead of Lupe trying to be Lupe.
