Lowry / Telfair / Lucas
DeRozan / Ross / Anderson
Gay / Korver / Fields
Bargnani / Johnson / Acy
Valanciunas / Maxiell-Dalembert / Gray

I think I am done with Alan Anderson TBH. He is not bad, but I want Ross to get his minutes. I like the idea of grabbing a guy like Dalembert, Maxiell, or even De. Blair; we need some help in the post. I would trade Bargnani to help free up some cap space.

Ross needs to grow, but Anderson has a contract very low, I'm not opposed to his confirmation, but Anderson must be the reserve of Ross, and not the opposite.

As for Bargnani, I prefer to keep him than take a bad player with a contract of his worst (see Gasol or Boozer). If we can take Josh Smith, I am willing to engage in a trade any player, otherwise it's right to confirm more players as possible. Both Bargnani and Fields are difficult to engage in a trade. And if we weaken, I prefer to stay with a lot of these guys. We have a good team right now...
We need balance, we can't upset the team often.

But I'm seriously thinking of a new coach (a new good coach).
Casey has made many mistakes this season.

So everyone seems to agree we need at least one shooter at our wing position, a low post scorer and a new coach. In a perfect world we get a guy like milsap or j-smith with a guy like kyle Korver. The new coach would be someone who makes our guys play defence while being able to really use their offensive abilities well. Someone who will run the floor while having guys like Derozan and gay come of curls and screens for open mid range shots.

We need another impact player more than a sixth man. Worry about a sith man after you have a competent starting five. Pipe dream but I'm hoing for one of Love, Cousins or Smith and using any of Ross, Amir, Andrea or even Lowry to do it.

I'd love to take a chance on Cousins. Val and Cousin duo would be interesting.

I would LOVE to take a chance on Cousins. I'd trade anyone not name Val or Ross to make it happen too.

Not a bad idea at all. I'd sign Wright instead of Korver personally but the Dalembert pick up is a very solid one. I'd also look to trade Bargnani as well. My hope would be a late first rounder in return but who knows if he even has that value.

Dorell Wright? If you're talking about him, well, we already have our Dorell Wright, is Anderson.
In fact, I think Anderson is even better than Wright, while Korver is way better than both.
Korver has an excellent shot (has for years been one of the best in the league), can be a good sixth man, I definitely want him!

Gotta give to get. Val would have to go if a Cousins trade was available. It wouldn't be so bad considering that Val and Cousins wouldn't work together anyway.

Cousins for Val would be costly but fine. I still think we'd need to trade Demar for some other pieces. Maybe to the Hawks or Suns for shooting. I'd love Dudley + a first+Amundsen for Demar.

Cousins/pick
Amir (Amundsen)
Gay/Fields
Ross/Dudley
Lowry /Lucas

would be a nice core. Down the stretch...
Cousins
Amir
Gay
Dudley
Lowry

Would be really tough to stop.

I dont think Toronto is the right place for knucklehead to revive their career. And Casey is not the right coach for Cousins. But on paper that is a great team, Amir and Cousins compliment each other well, Amir provides spacing and help defense that Cousins lacks. The raptors would have to think about that trade if Sac was offering it up.
"I've never seen a sports market appreciate cap space more than Toronto. Cap space is like a human being to us" - Sid Seixeiro

"Cap space can't rebound, it can't make shots"- Paul Jones

Preach.

Well then I say forget it. I'd be willing to throw in Ross if it came down to it but we're trying to build a contender here. Dealing Val for Cousins leaves us where we started except this time we have a headcase guy...if that's the case, we'd be better off keeping Val.

I'd do something around Ross, Lowry and Bargs for Cousins, player and a first from Sacramento. That was we can have a future front court to build around.

I really don't see Casey and Raptors management letting Cousin's career blossom here..
He prefers to pound the elbow rather than to pound the rock, and is not a character guy.

We should get a shooter/defender at the 2, and move DeMar to the bench. Our starting lineup desperately needs shooters and DeMar can destroy 2nd unit guys.

Trade Terrance Ross for Iman Shumpert + James White + a future pick. Good trade that gets us a more NBA ready player; The player that Ross is supposed to be.

Trade Demar Derozan for Ryan Anderson. A good 6th man that can provide efficient offense.

Lowry
Shumpert
Gay
Amir/ Ryan Anderson
Jonas

Already a great defensive lineup. With enough shooting to keep defenses honest. We can even entertain a Jonas for Larry Sanders trade that will boost our defense even more.

Not a trade, but what is going on with our other 2nd round draft pick Tomislav Zubcic? Does anyone have any info on him?

Do we have a second round draft pick this year? If we do, we should draft Erick Green. He is a solid PG, lead the nation in scoring, and just won ACC player of the year. I have seen the guy play and he is a very aggressive player who plays great on both ends.

Seems like your basic combo guard. To be honest he looks solid I would not mind taking a flier on him. I just wonder where Kabongo will fall he oozes potential.

Raptors have no picks at all this year (barring a miracle in the draft lottery)

Not saying these are likely but what I would at least attempt:

DeRozan + Amir for Milsap in a S&T or for Eric Gordon

Possibly DeRozan + Valanciunas for Kevin Love

Val for Cousins? No thanks. That guy is an absolute head case. Probably the worst attitude in the league, and he takes a bunch of plays off each game - esp on defence.
