I would normally agree that you are what your record says you are. Except when you get a new coach a few weeks into the season, play a large percentage of the year without your #1 or #2 PG, have a new starting Center that is not healthy, have your starting PF miss a large part of the yr with injury, and have your back up PF go out for the year with an injury. THAT team might be slightly better toward the end of the year than their record implies, because of early losses sustained due to all of the above mentioned factors.
