I'd rather have Kobe. With his clutch factor you always have a chance to win a basketball game.

sorry there guy, down by 3 just put a lock down defender on nash and he will give the ball to a mate cause hes not able to create his own shot beyond the 3p line.

Just like when people said " replace Fisher with better pg, & the Lakers will be winning more games"

Guess then what happen when Lakers got Nash. Im not saying Nash worse than Fisher, but in basketball predicting this kind of stuff is utterly stupid hard

What's gonna happen to the Lakers franchise when the Black Mamba retires?

That day is soon approaching, seems like yesterday he was playing with Shaq....

Yup. When you make those "switch so and so with so and so" comparisons, you add fit to the equation. Certain players fit better in certain situations than others...so it isn't really fair to say "If [player] was on [this team] they would be doing better/worse"

which is why he never drives the lane for those one-footed fallbacks, or takes it to rim for those one-hand scoops or all the way under for reverse layups .... oh wait, he does do that, because everyone is afraid of the pass he'll throw.

lol sure..down by 3 let him go in for a one footed fallback as the clock sounds your team just lost by one. since when has nash ever been in the conversation as being a last second shot taker LOL

Nash does have the clutch gene in him also. He did stick that big 3 in that Raptor game also. He just hasn't done it on the biggest stage like Kobe (Indiana finals). Hopefully he gets that opportunity this season, because Nash is such a good guy that u pull for him to get this ring this season

Apparently you never saw him play in PHX. The threat he poses as a shooter opened up a lot of passes for game-winners, and when they sagged off, Nash shot it. many, many times. My favourite being one on the Mavs

Nash has hit some ridiculously clutch shots in his career. He's not Kobe but I trust him to make a last shot or buzzer beater. He's not scared of the moment and he's one of the best shooters in nba history. Just by virtue of his fg% he's clutch.

Yeah he missed some free throws for us lately, but I expect that to be an anomaly.

In the game against the Raptors he hit a big 3 as well, right before the play where Kobe got a screen from Aaron gray. Dude had to stop on a dime and shoot an off balance 3. That is a DIFFICULT shot. Without that clutch play we lose that game.

yes but he will find the right "mate" for the best opportunity to score. When Kobe's knees aren't tweaked or he's not suffering from avulsion fractures to his shooting hand index finger there is nobody in the world that can make the kind of shots Kobe makes with defenders draped all over him. So yeah you're right Nash can't do what Kobe can but neither can anybody else.

I know this is supposed to be about Kobe being clutch, but I'm not sure where you find your stats for "last shots" to be able to claim that Nash is bad at it. Nash has always been clutch, like this article shows.

http://www.libertyballers.com/2012/2/29 ... th-quarter

Of the 15 players who took 450 shots since 2000 (on year ago), the 3 with the best FG% are Lebron (.460), Duncan (.460) and Nash (.459). Pretty good considering he is the only real jump shooter out of the 3. He is also the guy with the best 3P % at .398. Nash is also the guy who was the least assisted (less than 18% of the time), so I'm thinking he is pretty good at creating his shot even if he is using the pick and roll.

And that's discounting his play making, because the Suns have always been great in the clutch with Nash. Here is an example from 2007-2008.

http://www.82games.com/0708/07PHO1E.HTM

If you are going to say things, try to back them up. Everyone can say anything, it doesn't mean it has value.

Also, let's remember the time he played with one eye shut against the Spurs in the 4th quarter. Suns were leading by 7 with less than 6 minutes left in the third and Nash went down. Spurs came back and it was 77-77 and then Nash carried the team on his back with just one good eye. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyMAJcL7CBM
