Alot of pointless bickering going on in this thread in my opinion. I'll also say It's a bit rough generalizing a team's fanbase by a single/couple of posters.

In terms of the ADav vs ADru argument, I'd pick Davis over Drummond 7 days a week from what we've seen to date, and that's no disrespect to ADru. Sure, Drummond has the higher ceiling ('potentially'), but I could really see Davis being a 10+ time all-star if he can keep healthy over his career. He is incredibly special. He's a really good rebounder already, despite being a young light-weight. His stats should be very good over the next few years as he puts on a bit more muscle and gets increased minutes. Suggesting Drummond over Davis is getting a little bit greedy I believe, as Davis is basically guaranteed to become an incredible player. Both are incredible prospects though.

For me, good rebounding ability is probably the first thing I look for in a big, along with a nice soft touch. Both Davis and Drummond have these traits.

From the second Lillard was drafted, I had him as my R.O.Y favourite, due to the opportunity that he would get at Portland. We had no other good PG's, and unless he was a disappoint he would be getting quite a chunk of minutes. I look forward to seeing his FG% increase over the coming years (and days it seems, as his FG% has increased impressively since Maynor has taken a fair bit of Lillard's previously ridiculous workload off his shoulders). I think he will become a real star in the league, not only because of his talent and work ethic, but because he handles himself as well as any other player I've seen on a professional level.

I look forward to Drummond coming back in the near-term. Hopefully Meyers Leonard comes back strong as well (he might be playing today), he was looking very improved just before he sprained his ankle last week.

After reading my post I realized I discussed about 10 different issues with absolutely no structure to what I wrote..... YOLO

I mean no disrespect to Lilard when I say this, but Waiters' potential looks far higher than Lilard's. He's really impressing me with his aggressiveness and slashing ability. Last time I watched him play, he was shot jacking and forcing some bad shots. Not the case tonight.

Davis tonight vs. Brooklyn

19 pts (Box score says 17. The scorer screwed up and gave Vasquez credit for a big Davis dunk for some reason)
11 rebs
5 blks

Davis' numbers are off the charts in games where he's played starter minutes

I guess you haven't watched both guys enough, Lillard slashing ability is actually better than Waiters. Waiters is really having problems finishing at the rim

Yeah waiters is completely different than he was at the beginning of the year, taking way less jump shots, getting to the line more, and has been shooting over 50%

anyways, I don't see how he can say waiters slashing ability is the reason he thinks Waiters potential "looks far higher than Lillard"

I'd say Lillard is getting to the rim and finishing even better than Waiters

Lillard is better (at the very least for now) and he is having the better year. With that being said, I really like what Waiters has shown me. He is a much improved player. If he dedicates himself in the off-season (he still has some weight to lose), I think he will be a really nice player and form a dangerous duo with Kyrie. I am very pleased with the pick so far. I would still rather have Drummond, but he wasn't a serious option. I like Waiters over Kidd-Gilchrist, Beal, and Barnes.

Yeah, Waiters wasn't a reach at all IMO. He's really been playing well and I can see a smaller, poor man's Wade with better 3pt shooting. AD is the only one I'd clearly take over him. Lillard too probably, and Beal is more or less in the same tier with maybe a slight edge (he has the most upside though IMO), but mostly preference at this point.

Pretty sure he had 27, and they accidentally gave Maynor's three free throws at the end to him. I believe they're in the process of fixing it.

Anthony Davis will have to become stronger to consistently create from the post, but what he's doing right now, teams will never be able to double effectively. When you catch the ball in pick and roll situations and shoot or make your move before the defense can start to double, you'll always get quality looks.

It's a lot like what Dwight Howard or Amare Stoudemire used to do away from the ball. It's really encouraging, it's great offense that is incredibly hard to key on, when a player does his work away from the ball.

Definitely. His hands are incredible for a guy his size and his coordination considering he is 2 years removed from a massive growth spurt is ridiculous. I don't see him ever becoming a real strong guy where he can just muscle through people but if he can get strong enough to gain good position like kg does than he should be fine. I just see him as a kid with a killer instinct and I don't see anyway he doesn't become an elite player in this league.

Watching lillard lately and you can see the massive improvements he has made since the start of the year. He is really starting to get more comfortable attacking and finishing and his shot selection has been much better. His defense has really been very good since getting maynor, probably because he hasn't been forced to play as many minutes. I would like Portland to get another attacking guard with capable ball handling to play next to lillard at sg so he could play off the ball more.

Over his last 7 games, Lillard is averaging 24.5 PPG on 59.5/49/85 (FG/3P/FT).

It's basically 60/50/85, which is pretty nuts for any player (not named KD or Lebron) when averaging just under 25 ppg over a 7 game stretch.
