Games like this should put webster's worth in perspective, yes he's an amazing shooter, but when he is cold, he doesn't really do much else out there. One of the reason why I want Porter.
We seriously need to work on our bench. We need a stretch 4 in the worst possible way, and a god damn playmaking SG...oh wait..
We definitely need a quality stretch 4. EG either needs to build a team that fits Wall, or trade Wall for more of a pick-and-roll scoring PG and run half court sets with our huge, slow front line. We are a schizophrenic team right now. The bigs want to play bruising, methodical, post-up and kick-out basketball, and the guards are suitable for running and for Wall's drive-and-kick game.
I really like how Okafor has set a tone with his defense and rebounding, but he really clogs up the lane far too much for our personnel. Perhaps Okafor was needed to help teach our team how to defend, but I think he's a bad fit in the long run. We would look much better with a stretch 4 who can rebound playing alongside Nene at the 5. Throw in a long, athletic shot blocker like Noel and that would be an ideal 3-big rotation for a John Wall team.
If only we could trade Okafor for Ryan Anderson...
