Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

Cooper, 17th overall pick in '08, but back inj has kept from #bluejays camp and could end career, so no quick fix for #Yankees or any team

Damn, that's unfortunate. At least he got first-round money way back when, as it always sucks to see guys having their careers end by way of injury before they begin.

Dammit, our MVP first baseman is in danger of being lost!

There's hope for our minor-league also-rans yet...our other since-released future MVP first baseman is doing okay (12 for 30, 1 HR) in Cleveland, though it looks like he's going to miss out on a bench spot to the desiccated husk of Jason Giambi.

But seriously, that sucks for him. Hopefully he can recover and find some kind of role in the majors.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Tough going for him, hope he rebounds and finds a role somewhere down the road, the guy did help us win a couple of games so he wasn't totally useless.

Imagine if we picked Kimbrel that year over him :( draft sure is a crapshoot.

I can't believe we just cut our own Prince Fielder.
