Re: Wade during this streak
I'd take a healthy Wade over Kobe every year since 2006. Its not a popular opinion, but also not a crazy one if you fairly compare them instead of going by star power.
What's annoying is the huge "BoD" advantage guys like Kobe and LeBron get in any comparison (BoD = Benefit of the Doubt). What I mean by that is, in any close comparison, a person will use whatever edge that player holds, and proceed to give them the benefit of the doubt from there on, ignoring edges the other player has.
Example, Kobe compared to a player that out produces him statistically in 1 area, but lags in the other... the area Kobe excels in will be mentioned, the other will be ignored, Kobe will be taken. Kobe outproduced in all statistical areas, another factor will be chosen such as winning. Kobe outproduced and on a worse team (doesn't usually happen, but has in rare cases like comparing him to LeBron in 10-11), people will stress anecdotal evidence like Kobe's "heart, determination, skill".
If every player in the league had a BoD rating of 1-100, Kobe's would be 99. Tim Duncan would also be up there with a 98 or 99, everybody loves him. LeBron probably gets around a 97 at this point (was lower before he won his first ring). I'd put Wade around an 88... he really gets disrespected a crazy amount for a star player that has lead his team to a ring before. People are ready to write him off and claim James Harden and Russell Westbrook are better than him, when they're actually statistically worse in quite a few areas, which is crazy when you consider how few people would take Wade over Kobe back in 06 and 09 despite Wade winning more in 06, and dominating statistically in 09.

I'm predicting an Eastern Conference Player of the Month for March. Only thing that prevented him from grabbing it in February was was some guy named LeBron. This cat's healthy and absolutely locked in right now.
Team keeps on winning. Hs first Player of the Week for March tucked away. Sticking by my prediction.

All it comes down to is the fact that Kobe has the largest fanbase and they're the most vocal. Wade doesn't have anywhere near the fanbase that Kobe, or even LeBron has.
I agree with you on Wade, I'd take 2005, 2006, and then 2009-now Wade over Kobe in the same years. I've argued this before and people always think I'm insane. After a few times, I realized that people are too set in their ways, and since Wade didn't get much media exposure compared to Kobe at the time, he's overlooked. The ESPN factor(Kobe=clutch, winner, heart) and his legion of fans are the biggest reason why Kobe is so overrated.
People also underrate Wade because they dislike him as a personality or for his play. Cognitive Dissonance is another reason why he's pretty hated at this point. People have been predicting his demise since 2007, people have said he can't lead a team to a title, people said he couldn't adjust to playing with LeBron, and then when he proves them wrong, people feel uncomfortable about it and start disliking him. Also, probably the biggest factor currently, is that people can't really hate on LeBron anymore without coming off as bitter, so the next target is Wade.

Now that Wade is healthy again I think it has dawned to people again that Wade and Lebron are on the same team. You now have people singing the " It's not fair" tune

Wade is good and definitely the 2nd or 3rd best sg behind kobe. Problem with Wade is he isn't even the best player on his team right now with lebron being the go to guys. When was the last time wade scored 40 points with 12 assists? Kobe is obviously way better than wade this season and that is just a fact.

I want to do it, but don't want to do it at the same time. There's a 95% chance that my efforts will be futile (see: "this is just a fact").

Definitely. But, over the past 2 years the main thing that frustrated me about Wade wasn't his seeming loss of athleticism or burst, it was the attitude he carried along with it. I know it has to be tough as hell to be playing with all of his nagging injuries and we can't blame him for his frustration, but it was still tough to see, especially as someone who has praised Wade over the years and defended him in a comparison against any other player in the league.
But, he is now not spending half the game in angry discourse with the refs, he is getting back on D, he is smoothly and quickly adjusting his game from dominant when Lebron is out to complimentary when Lebron is in the game.
He is playing some of his best bball now and it is extremely encouraging and great to see.
I LOVED 2005-6 and 2009-10 Wade (favorite player next to Lebron) but couldn't stand whiny Wade.
I am very happy to see him complain a lot less and get back on D a lot more.

the last time wade scored 40 was in the playoffs against the pacers on 1 leg in route to a ring, while Kobe was sitting at home watching.
D. Wade 41 Pts, 10 Reb, 3 Ast, 2 Stl
last time Wade carried a team to the playoffs was in 08-09 where he was arguably the MVP of the league and led a team who's 2nd option was jermaine oneal to the 5th sead and 45 wins. Kobe is struggling to make the playoffs with a superteam.

Talk about consistency. If Wade maintains that FG% while still taking over 15 shots he'll pass MJ on that metric!
