Winfield had a big cap hit this year, so it's all that surprising but I have to think the Vikings are opening cap room for somebody.

I can't imagine he would demand a trade unless the Vikings don't make any decent moves. If they don't sign any playmakers during free agency, then I would want out just in terms of protecting his career than anything. He can't possibly carry a bigger load than he did in the second half of last season and stay healthy. It just can't happen.

once again, the ravens are done, goin down, great fantastic run they had for several years.

However, its unfortunate that the blame will go to the guy makin money. When it should be a win-win situation. But thats the deal the owners/players struck.
