When Pau Comes Back..........

Post#1 » by Anklebreaker702 » Thu Mar 14, 2013 1:25 am

I've been thinking the last couple of weeks how our personnel has changed and you can tell the Lakers have moved on as far as they needed to keep fighting without him. If we can keep our playoff seeding Pau will make a huge difference IMO.

To be able to have a seasoned vet like Pau coming off the bench! That will add another dimension to the team. I know Pau has a recent history of disappearing in the post season, but coming off the bench without the pressure of being the Number 2 guy will bring it.

Pau has really never liked coming off the bench & seemed to always want to prove he should be back in tbe starting line up. The good is thing is D'Antoni didn't give in because he usually becomes passive onve he gets his starting spot back. So if the Pau with that has that fire shows up, it just adds more fuel to the fire!

Seeing as we're not running anything MDA does system wise, I say Pau should go back into the starting line up. For one the fairy tale is over for Earl, teams now have him in the scouting report defensively and offensively. His numbers haven't been awesome and he hasn't been utter trash either, but teams have adjusted.

I personally like Pau of the bench. I think it gives us another dynamic and gets him more touches with the bench unit.

I'd like to see Clark play with Gasol and Jamison just with Dwight. Defensively, we get killed at the rim when we play Jamison/Clark. Pau isn't Dwight and he's slow covering PFs but when we run him at C, he should provide some resistance at the net.

Doesn't matter apparently. This team is a revolving door. Dwight comes back, Pau gets hurt. Pau gets back, Kobe gets hurt. That's just the way this season has been scripted.

5. Andrea Bargnani: three years, $33 million
Player A: 29.2 MPG, 13.0 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 40% FG, 31% 3FG, 11.4 PER.
Player B: 29.7 MPG, 12.0 PPG, 7.3 RPG, 39% FG, 32% 3FG, 12.4 PER.

Player A is Bargnani. Player B is Byron Mullens.

Rather get BJ!

I can't wait to see Gasol and Clark on the floor together. I've always love Gasol's passing and with a player like Clark who runs the floor well.

That hasn't really gone well since 2010, he's been crap in the post for the last 2 years.

Pau was overly passive in his return. Hopefully he steps it up over time but before the playoffs.

pau's pretty passive unless he hits his first couple of long range jumpers...

which is not pau at all. i dont know why he doesnt at least get to the FT line and shoot that J
