Rankings are gonna be crazy

They are all over the place, so this is gonna come down to the end.

We need everyone to do rankings, even if you didn't submit a write up. (Mine will e in ASAP)

Everyone has done a great job.

^ I think my ratings have been very consistent (not saying you directed that at me).

I rank based on title contention, player talent, prospects, salary, use of salary, team vision/ direction (which could be opinionated).

2013 rankings:
WillyJakkz wrote:29. Magic: Deconstructed team to rebuild, least talent is a great thing in this case
28. Kings: I like Curry alot so building around him is gonna be interesting to see, good thing you still got ya pick
27. Suns: Dragic gets to shoot all the time, nice underrated PG develops into leader w/ lots of picks to surround him w/
26. Raptors: Good young players that'll have growing pains but sky is the limit for em
25. Nets: Tough team to GM so any move is a good move, maybe try to trade Johnson
24. Rockets: Questionable rebuild move, Harden/ Asik for AD hurt team which obviously was the intent
23. Mavs: Billups gonna have a tough time getting all these guys the ball who are limited offensively
22. Pacers: Trying to see overall team vision, thought PG was it but was traded
21. Bobcats: Love the young'uns but gots no love for Cousins, dude is easily gonna destroy yet another young team, Jordan better bring Oakley in to regulate dude before it gets outta hand
20. Grizzlies: Bynum Favors combo not sure if they fit well
19. Pistons: Nice young squad not sold on Monroe as franchise though
18. Blazers: Conley PG Beal Ibaka very nice build
17. Nuggets: Lillard Faried = nice
16. Cavs: Not too sure Kyrie Gordon works while Hibbert will have to get in where he fits in
15. Hawks: Lopez Lee Parsons very nice team in ATL
14. Pelicans: Healthy Dwight and this team no doubt is top 5 at the least, love shooters around him and LMA.....lethal
13. Celtics: Nice group gonna be tough team to score on
12. Wolves: W/ a different PG that team is great
11. Heat: Harden Dirk Gay....man who's gonna settle in take a lesser role? Certainly not Dirk or Harden and not sure Gay thinks he should either
10. Bucks: Wade is ballin' not sure he can get em to Finals
9. Wizards: Can't wait to see Rubio Griffin duo in action one of my fave pairs
8. Spurs: Usual suspects not enough ammo
7. Knicks: I like the toughness of this team
6. Jazz: I think this team has legit Finals shot
5. Clippers: They got legit shot to make it happen and I see em falling short
4. Warriors: Hard to find a better team across board
3. Thunder: LeBron Durant awesomeness at its finest but something is missing (believe it or not)
2. Bulls: Love the Rose Melo duo
1. Lakers: Went back and forth between top 3 teams but ultimately think this is the very best due to fit and actually changed after writing ranking

I saw teams improve and saw teams step backwards from here.

I'm not saying it a bad thing at all

Just saying they are all over the place, meaning alot of teams have done good.

The more rankings the better average we will get.

Nothing bad was said at all

I personally won't even dignity someone's rankings if they didn't do a writeup.

They won't or shouldn't even be eligible to participate in the next game so why give them a voice?

I do see the basketball knowledge of college players is limited though so far.

Had a feeling I was going to be docked for my role players, can't believe I'm being docked this much. This is a STAR driven league, and I've got three. Look how that's worked for Miami.

So...we should make the rankings even more random?

To be fair, Miami has won 1 championship, and their 3 players are most likely opting out as soon as they get the chance to squeeze every last dollar out of the franchise. I don't like how the Heat are built at all, and you really replicated it. You got top 5 from me just because of what you started out with.

 guys killin' me for the Monta signing.

Did that to sell tickets, similar to Iverson and Collins said he reminds him of AI as well.

Couldn't give Rondo all rookies and expect him to be happy also.

My thing was drafting the future and letting them learn behind the vets and takeover in 3 yrs (at the latest).

Appreciate the responses.

So far my rankings are like this:

2nd
6th
6th
9th
1st
5th
2nd
7th

This was my point with them being all over the place.
This is why we NEED everyone to do rankings. So the average is correct.

So far my Detroit squad has been ranked 5,6,7,8,9 a 12 and the pacers gm ranked me 15th! Like I know I didn't win but I've got Westbrook,Drummond,Hendo and Thad,6 1sts and max cap space. I was expecting anything from like 4-8

You serious ness?

You trippin' cause you expect peeps to rank you nearly the same in every ranking?

I felt my Philly team has a great future and really good present due to our defense keeping us in games, hell we may lose every game but I guarantee it'll be a close hard fought game for any team playing us and this is actually my favorite GMaT to date, love this squad but I ain't trippin' cause most guys probably don't watch college ball etc.

I made myself happy with my squad, that's what was important to me.

@Detroit GM, can you make a case to me why you feel I shoulda ranked you higher than 12? What do you have that is better than the teams I have ahead of you?

Your missing point in my posts. My point is that, the rankings are everywhere. As they should be. That's why we need EVERYONE's rankings lol.

Hop off my nuts, man. I don't care what you expected. I didn't like your team as much as 14 others, so you got 15th.

Seems like every time I come here someone has something to say about "Indiana GM did this...". Not sure why I've got such a bad rep here. I've tried to remain nothing but nice and "professional" through this game.

Guys i think we should look ahead to next game and just let this one play out however it plays out. Next game Karma will do a better job of getting GM's that will see it thru all the way to the end + filters like post count req's and making gm's w/out write ups/rankings ineligable for next game.

And as for Philly, a rookie doesn't change a team in one year. People rated you lower than you thought because:
A) monta Ellis
B) oladipo was drafted really high and he wont be having some legendary rookie season. I looooove IU basketball, but hes not that valuable

Couldn't care less where I'm ranked but your statement is just full of "wrong".

"A rookie doesn't change a team in a year".

All I know is Oladipo is nice and I got Trey Burke on top of that.

Point is I'm happy with my team.

Edit: Wish we could revisit this after the NCAA Tournament starts just to see how good drafted players project.

And that's fine, but rookies the be valued less than players with experience is to be expected.
