This is fun....

Nets: 4-1 in last 5 (since PJ announced he was tightening his rotation and playing Teletovic more)
Knicks: 2-3 in last 5 with the last 2 blowouts

Are we really bragging about wins over the Hornets Wizards Hawks and Bobcats and attributing them to the shortening of the rotation.... Anything less then 4-1 in your last 5 would have been terrible.

Although they were awful in the last 2 games their last losses are blown games against the Thunder and Heat and blowouts against the Nuggets who have won 10 in a row and the Warriors who are a 6 seed in the west..

You guys act like it wasn't all doom and gloom for us about a month ago and we raked off a 6-2 stretch with losses in very very close games to the Heat and Thunder. And yes those losses to the Raptors twice Clippers and Indiana were just as concerning as this stretch..

Jeez.. chill.. just having some fun with Seren who was clearly looking to bait/troll with his Newark Nets comment.

Like I said... I don't think we win the division but I think it will be close which is fine by me for year 1 in BK.

LOL at the Knicks fans claiming WAS and TOR as easy wins. With all the injuries and blow outs you've been in recently no team is an easy win. Come on you lost to WAS already this year and haven't even beaten TOR yet. No such thing as an easy win. Maybe Charlotte and Orlando.

Good luck with Portland without Melo and a hobbled Chandler.

Carmelow being out a few weeks really hurts the nets chances at the division

Hey, that was an honest mistake. I know that there is another team across the river. I naturally assumed it was in Newark. :lol:

The ball moves more and the team plays harder without him. He's not liked in the lockeroom.

The Nets' remaining schedule:

Atlanta
@Detroit - "easy"
@Dallas - "easy"
@LAC
@Phoenix - "easy"
@Portland
@Denver
@Utah
@Cleveland - "easy"
Chicago
Charlotte - "easy"
Philadelphia - "easy"
@Boston
@Indiana
@Toronto - "easy"
Washington - "easy"
Detroit - "easy"

I see 11 "easy" wins (who knows what happens, but there are 11 games the Nets "should" win), and quite a few teams the Nets "could" beat. Outside of LAC and Denver on the road, which ones can't the Nets win? So I think 11-6 should be the floor of what the Nets can do, finishing with 49 wins.

The Knicks remaining schedule:

@Portland
@LAC
@Utah
Orlando - "easy"
@Toronto - "easy"
Toronto - "easy"
@Boston
Memphis
Charlotte - "easy"
Boston
@Miami
@Atlanta
Milwaukee
@OKC
Washington - "easy"
@Chicago
@Cleveland - "easy"
Indiana
@Charlotte - "easy"
Atlanta

I see 7 "easy" wins for the Knicks. Every other team is a playoff team. And even the "easy" games like Orlando, Toronto, and Cleveland...those are teams that have already played the Knicks really tough, and who knows what's going on with Melo and Chandler and if they'll even play.

So if the Knicks beat all the "easy" teams, the worst they can do is 7-13. Instead of 0-13 against the playoff teams (unlikely), say they go 4-9 (more likely)...they'll finish 11-9...which means they'll end up with 49 wins, the same as the worst case scenario for the Nets. And the Nets would have the better conference record if I'm not mistaken, which means they own the tiebreaker.

Also, I apologize if I just completely repeated info that everyone knew already, I only read the last few posts or so before posting.

Fair enough just making sure. I agree with the ball movement and I think they do play harder but in the long run talent wins out. So while they do play well when he's out I wouldn't count on that for long stretches.

So much bickering for a very fluid situation.

Good, so maybe your team can focus on playoff wins now, because the Raptors have 5 times as many playoff wins as the Knicks in the last decade.

NYK should be able to hold on. More home games going forward then Brooklyn makes a huge difference.

If Clippers beat the visiting Knicks on Sunday, the Nets would take the division lead with a win the same night when they host Atlanta.
