 I've never been on the hating Joel train, I love when he plays off the bench he brings such intensity to the game and can really have a big impact. I think Birdman will take a lot of his minutes come playoffs but he can still help for sure. His hands have gotten "better"

No need to hate on Joel.

Joel is good for his limited role - a third string, instant energy, LIMITED MINUTES Center off the bench.

When we play him outside his role, that's when he looks bad. But he's still a great defender and could help us in the playoffs with some matchups, the key is too use him in short bursts and in the right times.

Birdman, to be honest, isn't a real starter either. Birdman is a good backup Center that plays hard, a more talented version of Joel. he's doing great for us because he fills a huge hole we had in our roster, but ideally he's the backup for the starting Center on your team.

Either way, he's doing awesome and looks like he's still getting better and in better shape as time passes. just keep it up Bird.

Quick question: After reading the article about Blatche not caring about his next contract so Wizards pay more......if Birdman likes playing here, we can easily re-sign him for next year at the vet min, right? Denver amnestied him, owes him around 5 million, and they make up the difference in whatever new contract he signs up to the 5 million....so if I understand it correctly, he can't make more than the 5 mill owed from Denver even if some team comes offering 3-4 mill.

So unless some team offers over 5 mill (not gonna happen), he really has no incentive to leave, even if we only offer the vet min, right?

I'm pretty sure if somebody offers him 3-4 milion then Denver would cover the remaining 1-2 million that's left over. So theoreticaly he can resign here for the Vet Minimum around 1.3 million, and Denver picks up the remaining 3.7 million. In the end he still makes the 5 million. So he doesn't have any incentive to leave financially.
