From today:

Ty wrote:I tell the guys you can listen to criticism but most of the people that's criticizing don't have an idea of what you're going through.

They probably haven't never did anything at this level in their life. They can talk. Talk is cheap. We've got to...do what we've got to do.

When Raja and CJ criticized Ty's communication skills after last year maybe they were just talking about his grammar.

It certainly approaches a Karl Malone-ism.

don't know where to post this and didn't want to open a new thread.

Steve Kyler thinks the jazz players quit on corbin:

steppx

it appears the jazz are going to fall out of the post season and Lakers in. I dont see LA getting out of the first round. Watching a parker-less Spurs team beat OKC suggests those two teams are in their own class….lakers cant beat either. So….for Jazz, is it that bad to have missed? they were an auto out anyway. They goofed at deadline not moving someone though-

Steve Kyler

I think things changed last night… if Kobe is out for any extended time the Lakers have issues.

As for Utah, those guys seem to have quit on Ty Corbin and that is sad. Utah is a lot better than they have played lately.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

They will say he has had difficult circumstances. He's here at least one more year. Sadly.

I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that he's back. When I listened to Dennis Lindsey talk about him on the radio the other day (http://1280thezone.com/index.php/audio/ ... n_the_jazz), he didn't offer unqualified praise or support of Ty. He said a lot of things that made me think they're going to objectively evaluate Ty's performance in the offseason.

Everyone says: "there's no way the Millers would pay two head coaches!" I'm not sure that's true. First of all, we have no idea how much Ty is making. The average NBA coaching salary is reportedly $3.5M, but that's probably skewed by some coaches on the high end (http://www.forbes.com/sites/kurtbadenha ... as-member/). Second, we have no idea how much of his salary next year is guaranteed; some of it may be incentive-based or he may have a clause that reduces his contracted salary if he lands another coaching job. Finally, the Millers may just decide that they literally can't afford to NOT hire a new coach.

I sure hope he will be gone. Thanks for the info.
