the patriots still have the most super bowls since 2000

Post#1 » by sprint2thecup » Thu Mar 14, 2013 2:04 am

Though they have not actually won a super bowl since the 2004 season, the patriots STILL have the most lombardi trophies since the new millennium began. when will they be overthrown, or at least tied?

the patriots have three (2001, 2003, 2004)

the steelers have two (2005, 2008)

the giants have two (2007, 2011)

what team will tie the patriots? because it's gonna happening inevitably. i say eli montana and the giants get it done before anyone else. they have proven themselves to be the most clutch team in this era, and so long as they still have their coach and QB intact, there's always a chance they'll hobble into the playoffs and blow everyone out on the road en route to a clutch super bowl win by 3 points. i say they do it again before any other team reaches 3 since 2000.

actually, if the trend is goin a certain way, it seems like the 9ers might get their 6th.

secondly, the patriots did not win 3. TOM BRADY WON 3.

They have failed in providing him with the guns both offensively and defensively to get it done. Thats their fault, because his window is closing.(but some of you have heard that before)

However, if there is one thing that bellichek has not been able to do that his mentor bill parcells has done. That is win with a different QB. The giants with sims and i forgot the other guys name did it under parcells. Bellichek has not been able to emulate that, but has leaned heavily on tom. With the only thing left to do is take tom out to pasture and retire/shoot him in the head, with no replacement in sight.

So its basically up to Tom and what they have provided him. The current dispute is that they are going in the wrong direction with amendola. we shall see...

Well, using your logic...

Mike Tomlin > Tom Coughlin

Ben Roethlisberger > Eli Manning

So clearly the Steelers' have a batter chance to tie/pass the Patriots for most Superbowl's since 2000.

When we take away their SuperBowls they gained from the Tuck Rule (BS and is now being revoked) and SpyGate, no they don't

how is that my logic exactly? i don't follow. i don't like the steelers, and i'll be the first to tell you they are very consistent and a great team. but no way is ben roethlisberger better than eli montana. eli's never lost a super bowl like big ben. as a matter fact, eli montana OWNS the very team that ben lost to (green bay).

Yikes! Raider fan?

You must be, because even anti-Brady leader himself, Terrell Suggs doesn't bring up the Tuck Rule as an excuse.
