In general, active players would make lousy GMs. Scouting and analyzing is a time-consuming job. Wall, and active players, have a job already.

I think he (and everyone else) wanted a good (accurate, efficient, clutch, etc.) shooter, to add to the zero good shooters on the roster. Sure, let him pick this year. Couldn't be any worse than the past track record.

I would definitely feel more comfortable with Wall making the pick than EG. I doubt Wall will have that project big man fetish that EG has.

Well he did say they needed a shooter and so the Wizards got Beal, in which they could have drafted a few big named forwards/centers.

Wall knows what the team needs it seem. If he say they need a new big, than that's likely what they need. Etc. what you think?

Wall is a keeper. Now that he's hitting threes, it is as simple as that. He upped his game and I think he's going to really blow up just based on his form on his jumper now.

The lady on post game live said 29 was a career high for Wall. How so?
Didnt he have 30 point games last season?

John Wall had one of the best games by a guard that I've ever seen in many decades of watching NBA ball. He was just absolutely great.

If you told me that Okafor, Nene and Ariza would combine to go 5-23, I wouldn't have given the team a big chance to win. But Wall -- and Temple, Booker and Martin too -- just blew up!

That was a really fun game to watch.

Where's those John Wall for Kyle Lowry trade offers. If Wall keeps playing close to this level he will have an argument for best pg in basketball

John Wow

That had to be the sickest shooting night of his career.

Officially 12-15 but one of those was a late half chuck so 12-14 with 3-3 from 3 and like what... two drives. And a tear drop...

He is having his Beal miracle moment for sure.

Oh, yeah... Johns post game interview was great....

""
I know I was hot when I hit 3-3 from 3 range in the first half.

I am understanding better what Randy wants regarding controlling pace.""

.....Here was the one I liked the best.....

Even though I was feeling it, I didn't want to over do it. I keep looking from my teammates.

John is maturing. Major light bulb moment going on.

If he's got a new girlfriend, he might want to keep her. Whatever he's doing is working. Sounds like a veteran now, even in his speech patterns he's reflective and poised.

John's shot making the past three games has been ridiculous. Especially this game against New Orleans. So creative. And so confident. He's not just nailing the odd jumper in between drives. He's making hay from mid range off the bounce.

When he's got his mid range going he's impossible to guard. You can't play up on him. He can attack multiple defenders with his dribble penetration.

Next step is for John to continue working on that mid range game and his defense and stringing together consistent performances even after he's no longer locked in like this. His March has been excellent: 36 MPG, 18.6 PPG, 7.4 APG, 4.6 RPG, 47% from the floor, 86% from the FT line. I hope he keeps it up and finishes the season strong.

Agreed on all, and Seraphin was OK too (despite one rebound and passing the ball to some guy in row C). I know it's only three games, but I'm thinking that might be the best three games in a row I've ever seen from Wall.

Webster bulling his way into a pack of Hornets, out leaping them to rebound his own missed three, and then bulling his way to the basket for the dunk...wow! Last year the veteran leaders were aging, end-of-the-bench types, this year they are overpaid (though collectively better than I expected) starters. Webster is the middle ground, definitely underpaid (Wizards finally get a bargain), but he's level-headed, engaging, smart, and he plays with heart.
