i'm sorry but they don't deserve it, they were too inconstant all season, many L and blowouts against weak teams. also 18 games left and 15 vs 500+ teams.

This is a really stupid reasoning for why a team "deserves" to make the playoffs. When you're talking about 8th seeded teams, those are ALL inconstant, hence why those teams are in the final playoff spot.

Using your logic, the last 3 to 4 seeded playoffs teams in the East don't "deserve" to be there.

Yeah the team that "deserves" the 8th seed is the team that ends up with the 8th seed. This isn't the BCS. Teams control their own destiny.

Ouch, that's some Oden treatment. 12 and 5 in 12 minutes though is really really good.

That is some old-school Oden refereeing right there. Big man rooks are gonna have those kinds of nights.

Is anyone else starting to worry about MKG?

Lillard from last night.

Good highlights.

One thing though, were all those passing highlights considered assists? LOL.

Not really. He will be fine.

that is what the modern assist has come to, although that king of generosity has been around since Stockton's day

An assist is recorded as long as the player takes two dribbles or less.

Yeah that is what was soo frustrating. He was really rollin in the 1st quarter(12 pts and 4 reb) and barely played after that. Only played like 2-3 minutes each quarter. :(

Yeah and at the rate he was scorin, coud've been a career night for him. Because he had 12 pts like 3 min BEFORE the quarter was done when he came out. Against a decent defense too. oh well, still liked what I saw overall

Meh, he's the youngest player in the draft and surrounded by a tire fire of personnel. It's not his game to be a go-to, he's a complementary player with very few decent players to complement.

Man, as a Blazer fan...i'm totally digging this crop of rookies. Watched Davis tonight and (despite the Oden calls) you can almost see how good he's going to be in 3 years time--really psyched for NO fans.

MKG just screams like a "fit" guy to me. One of those guys who needs the right kind of system/cast/coach to really see what he's capable of. Give him that plus a couple years experience and the sky is the limit. Reminds me a lot of a higher-ceilinged Stacey Augmon, actually...

Might not be a star on the level of some of the rooks taken after him, and he does have that #2 pick "star or scrub" dynamic to overcome.

But I think solid player with a long career and a late peak. Maybe an All-Star in the same way Deng or Iggy are all-stars.

I know MKG is in a bad situation and isn't a "goto guy" type of player, but even with that in mind, I'm astonished at how awful his numbers have been. And it's not like he isn't getting minutes either. He's playing heavy starter level minutes, but to end with a line of like 4/3/2 after over 30 minutes...... That worries me from a #2 overall pick, even one that's not projected to be a franchise player.

Dunlap is pretty crazy with MKG's minutes. It seems like he always benches him when MKG gets it going and then MKG sits on the pine forever, then plays some meaningless garbage minutes at the end.
