Javale Mcgee for a bad contract and draft pick

Post#1 » by youngthegiant » Sat Mar 16, 2013 3:41 am

Kosta koufos has been playing off the charts and Mcgee has only been playing about 10 minutes. It is a shame but Denver is in contending mode and they are winning without Mcgee. Denver will take a bad contract but will need to be getting draft pick, at the very least a lotto pick.

I would do that but I know it would come back to bite Denver in the Ass. Really hard to make a trade with Oklahoma, especially if it will make them better.

Denver is not going to trade Mcgee for a bad contract and a 1st unless that 1st is early lotto pick.

Seriously, though, Charlotte would be the perfect candidate. Not their own pick, obviously, but Portland's. I could see a Gordon/#13 for McGee deal going down on draft day. MJ loves knuckle-headed bigmen, and they could use a young, athletic 7-footer.

They wouldn't even have to add in the 13 if that was the deal.

I would do that, gives us a shooter(expiring contract) and a decent shot a getting a rotational player.

For whichever of Seattle or Sacramento fanbase ends up winning the right to energetically cheer the [SuperSonics]/Kings, their investment could be rewarded with the fun potential of a long-term DeMarcus Cousins/JaVale McGee [+Tyreke Evans/Jimmer Fredette?!] future that would only cost them their draft pick in a relatively-poor draft where the top prospects play positions they already have filled with their own major prospects? Yes, they would probably be ok with that.
-- Under the title premise, SAC/SEA would even be able to dump the Salmons's last guaranteed year on DEN in the deal, maybe even saving those nice Maloof fellows some cash as they move on to other ventures, depending on when the deal coudl happen.

Gortat and Frye for McGee and Randolph.

Frye allows the Nuggets to spread the floor as a big off the bench, and Gortat is a 15/10 big man.

Humphries & 2 1st round picks. If Denver works with out a deal with Billy King you could probably get even more assets. McGee in Brooklyn would be AMAZING.

Very bad trade for the Suns since they don't need McGee's and Randolph's bad contracts.

Isn't McGee a bad contract too?

Mcgee is on a market value contract, and whether people like it or not the Nuggets are not going to dump him for a bad contract and a bad pick.

Would hardly call McGee a market-value contract, not when he hasn't had the opportunity to justify it.

You may want to do some research on what young bigs who have shown the potential that McGee has get on th market, they all get at least 10 million a year, which is exactly what McGee is getting.

Yep, came in here to offer this as well.

Also, if the Nuggs plan to stick with Koufous (and therefore don't want Gortat) I'd do Scola/Memphis 1st for McGee.
