Dallas offered Roddy + a 1st round pick for Carmelo at one point and reporters said it would have been enough.

King's employment status should be tied to Wallace's on court production.

the stuff just continues to piss me off

from Marc Stein's article:
It's true that the pick Brooklyn surrendered in last season's Gerald Wallace trade became Damian Lillard, but it's a misnomer to flatly conclude that the Nets would have wound up with the overwhelming Rookie of the Year favorite instead of Portland had they simply kept the pick. It's believed that the Nets, if they hadn't dealt their lottery pick for Wallace, likely would have drafted Cavs big man Tyler Zeller at No. 6, since point guard -- with Deron Williams presumed to be re-signing -- wasn't a position of prime need."

is this suppose to make me feel better? so not only did we make the worst trade in franchise history to give away the lottery pick, but if we did keep it, we would have used the #6 pick to reach on a guy who was picked #17 overall?

fan freaking tastic

Heard King is gone in the summer so Brooklyn can bring in a new coach and GM to work together which should give them a better chance at getting a top coach.

So it's obvious to everyone that Prokhorov wants Jackson but Jackson doesn't want to coach anymore. Brooklyn could be a great spot for him to land as President to take control of the entire basketball side of the franchise. He could then select a GM and coach of his choosing.

It's going to be a huge summer for us Brooklyn fans. Lets hope they make the best choices possible to take us forward long term.

^Is this a just rumor or from a trusted source? You're usually right when you say that you heard something lol.

If we win the division and do some damage in the playoffs, then go out and get someone like Jackson as EVP going forward, I'll be very happy for our future.

I don't know ****. I only know what Northern knows and what my friends in the legal departments for the Knicks and Nets know. It's all Northern.

Apparently Billy King was impotent since the start of the season. And wasn't behind Johnson being fired. And wasn't even aware that the Nets were still going after Dwight Howard. Great GM.

i dont get why they are harping so much on humphries contract being billy king's fatal mistake and what will be his undoing... i dont see how that contract is either bad or even effects us in any way.

we would be over cap/tax with or without hump over the next 2 seasons. it gives us an expiring to trade next year. i dont see the issue. they say the nets were handcuffed for trades without an expiring contract... i dont see how if they didint sign humphries as to how that would change?

i love all the talk about a new coach getting decision making power and maybe picking their GM. if that gets JVG in here id be hyped
