Cheering to lose

Post#1 » by AingesBurner » Sun Mar 17, 2013 12:58 am

How many of you out there are cheering that Jazz lose most of their remaining games? I want it to happen so we can get into the lottery to improve our chances of getting the PGOTF, motivating the FO to fire Corbin, and hoping that our losing season will prevent the FO from resigning Mo, Paul, or Al, which I think would be bad contracts for us. How many of you are not against tanking now? It paid dividends to the Warriors last year and they were doing really well until Bogut came back.

If a loss tonight means Corbin will be fired tomorrow, count me on it!!!!

When they play with effort and share the ball like they have at times tonight I find it impossible not for cheer for them to win.

Well I only want to lose if it means we fire all the starters, so that Hayward, Favors and Kanter can start next year, meaning we fire Al and Paul, and maybe Marvin.

I can live with this next year:

Mo - Foye - Hayward - Favors - Kanter rotation:(Burks, Carroll, Evans, DP1, DP2)

What we all really want:

DP1 - Burks - Hayward - Favors - Kanter rotation:(Mo/FAPG, Foye, Carroll, Evans, DP2)

I think Corbin's ability will be tested better with these starters...but most young teams end up losing(wizs, cavs, bobcats, etc), so would Corbin actually win better than 8th with this new team?

I think all the young guys can learn new tricks and have plenty to learn. Adapting this old guys to win just doesn't work. I mean we are at where were suppose to be, Lakers were shoe in's for the playoffs, I mean they got 1 HOF in Kobe. Its just hard to tell if Corbin could even coach the right players to wins?! I mean can Jefferson be that big of a black hole?

I mean how will we ever know if Corbin can really win?! I think he would have showed some signs by now, so I want to see him LOSE, IF, he is not meant for this team so he leaves. I only want to win so that maybe, just maybe in some rare chance that Al and the starters are actually what make Corbin look like a crap coach, not that he really is one.

Can't fathom actively hoping a team that you supposedly support loses. The whole notion of wanting your opinions on how the team is being ran to be reinforced by the team not doing well seems petty and childish as hell.

I love the Utah Jazz but again can we continue to see last nights play every night with this starting line up? Probably not, but who knows, Corbin finally started making the right calls, players got involved, etc. I would like a team and coach that play their asses off every night.

I wll always cheer for the jazz to win come what may. I don't think they are going to make the playoffs this year, but I will cheer for them and hope they do and hope they have some wins in the playoffs. I like the young players but think you need a good mix to win.
