I think he'd be a good fitwith the wolves, but not sure the FO would be willing to pay assuming they resign pek.

What possibly makes you think he is worth an early lotto pick?

Didn't say he was worth, just said they would not trade him without that kind of return.

You cannot be serious, 2 bad contracts for 2 young players that the Nuggets like, how about Anthony Randolph for Jonas Valanciunas and a 1st, value is closer then your proposal.

I like how he pointed out that Bargs is a number one pick to win over the readers
I do like the idea of Brandon Bass and a first for McGee though.

It would have to be TT and #13. Cho hates knuckleheads and he is calling the shots at the moment.

You may want to do some research on what young bigs who have shown the potential that McGee has get on th market, they all get at least 10 million a year, which is exactly what McGee is getting.
You may want to do some research on how many minutes young bigs with McGee's potential are playing. You can damn well be sure it's a lot more than 18 minutes and that their intelligence isn't being called out by their coach on a fairly regular basis.
Yeah, 11 mil per is fine for a young big man, but when you combine that with how little McGee has played, how insanely poor his BBIQ is and how much criticism he gets from his own coach and media members because of that BBIQ...... He can't be considered anything other than a unattractive contract right now.
Now granted, I don't think that means the Nuggets need to take back equally bad or worse contracts (certainly not 2 bad deals like Bargs and Fields), but they won't get anything impressive in return for him either. If they trade him, I expect the best they'll get will be something along the lines of a large TPE from a team with plenty of cap space and a 2nd rounder or two. Basically, exactly what they got for Camby when they traded him.
Quite honestly, they never should have resigned him imo.

If that's what you're expecting for McGee. .. whst do you want for Koufos? I'd much rather give Bass and a first for Koufos.

How many of those players play for George Karl? People can bitch about his minutes all they want, but Karl is the issue here, he has done the same thing in the media with players throughout his career, including guys like Ray Allen, Carmelo, and numerous others. McGee happens to be that guy this year.
For Nuggets fans to be disappointed in the return that would mean the Nuggets have to trade McGee, I have yet to hear anything saying the Nuggets want to trade him, or that they have offered him for anybody, or that they regret the signing in the least bit. With todays media outlets if he had been involved with anything I am sure we would here about it. The only time he is even mentioned in anything is on this very board, with either overreacting fans or fans trying to steal him. Nuggets aren't trading him just to trade him, right now they are happy with every contract on the roster but one, and that is Anthony Randolph who makes $1.75 million a year.

Nobody is going to take Bass and a late 1st for a player they like, that more then likely would not get you a single player on the Nuggets roster, they have no need for bad contracts right now nor draft picks as they are already one of the youngest teams in the league.

Don't know if any Miami fans have posted this yet but he I go.
McGee for M Miller, J Jones, (J Anthony, or U Haslem), Miami's 2013 1st, PHI 2013 1st, & cash.
PS. Arison will also throw in a one weak cruse for two around the Caribbean as a bonus prize..

Re: Javale Mcgee for a bad contract and draft pick
Boston would surely be interested.
We can offer a combination of (not all of the following though):
- Bass.
- Crawford.
- Melo.
- 2013 Boston 1st.
- 2014 Boston 2nd.
- 2014 2nd via Brooklyn.
Maybe even send Lee or Terry to a third team (Memphis or Minnesota) to get capspace for Denver also.

They wouldn't even have to add in the 13 if that was the deal.
QFT.
Why would Charlotte allow Denver to salary dump McGee on them and give up a lotto pick?
Lunacy, McGee is not that good.

I'd honestly do it with or without the pick. McGee would instantly become the best big on the team (sad, I know) and I've been saying that Kemba would be much better with one half decent big on his team. Javale is a huge idiot, and I'm pretty sure Shaq would cream his pants thinking of jokes to make on Shaqtin a Fool with Javale on the Cats, but the potential is undeniable.

Yeah, I think MJ learned his lesson with Kwame Brown. Javale is as talented as they come, but he's frustrating as he!!. Then again, if he wasn't so talented, expectations would be lower, and he wouldn't seem so frustrating. Kudo to Denver for getting the most out of him - by limiting his minutes and using him mostly against backups.

I think it also depends when you guys plan on competing. If I am correct, you plan on competing the year that the pick you gave up becomes unprotected. If Mcgee expires the season before that, I don't see why you guys wouldn't do the trade. Though, this may be incorrect as I don't follow the Bobs as well as you do.
