Jonas Valanciunas with 18 points on 7-8 shooting and 4-4 free throws and 7 rebounds (5 offensive) in 29:27. Most of his points were from post ups and he was just abusing Joel Anthony at the end. Too bad our coach is an idiot and JV wouldn't have played in the 4th at all if Amir didn't get hit in the face.

came off the bench too. Im wondering when he will start. You would think next game with how good he looked but you never know with Wittman. He normally atleast likes to wait for a loss before he makes a change. If Price is out again though, I could see Beal starting just so Temple can be the backup PG

Damn , didn't know he was playing today and I missed the game.

Love the kid

Wiz fans didnt know either. They said he was out the whole time and then he was warming up a lil before the game and decided to give it a go. Looked like the same Beal. Just plays so smart and doesnt force anything

Moe Harkless had 23 points (9-17 FG, 2-4 3pt), 9 rebounds (4 offensive), 2 steals, and 2 blocks today against the Bucks. This was following up his 12 points, 6 steal game against OKC. He's still very raw and he has a lot of work to do to improve his game in all areas, but he's only 19 and he has a ton of potential in my opinion. I've been very happy and impressed with his performance as of late, especially since the JJ Redick trade. Both him and Harris were awesome finds by GM Rob Hennigan.

In retrospect, Orlando made out like bandits in the Dwight trade. Harkless, Vucevic instead of a whiny Dwight or injured Bynum? Yes, please.

I'm glad we got Dwight though.

Kinda wonder if Davis can post a higher PER than Chris Paul did in his rookie season. He has been incredible the last couple weeks.

That's a really well done video.

I wish other fans would post videos as well. Way more interesting to me than random metrics on tiny sample sizes.

Here's the highlights of Moe Harkless from yesterday's game. This is just showing him getting his 23 points, but he had a really great game overall as well. Really impressive game from Moe though, it's been exciting to watch him grow throughout the year and get better.

Davis has a great future - but his future is in his future. I watched him last night, and that guy needs to get much much stronger (which he will). His speed and agility is young KG like, but the guy gets pushed around way too easily. He cannot get or hold position against NBA quality big men.

yup! One of the main reasons Monty has only given him only so many minutes this yr. He's probably the second fastest big behind Kenneth Faried so hes fast. It'll take him about 2-3 offseasons to add the adequate weight. That way hell be even more effective in the post by as u said, holding his position.

All rookie first team:

Lilliard, Beal, Waiters, Davis and who? Drummond? Has he played enough?

He'll never be strong enough to be a C, and I don't think his team should want him to ever get that big. This kid is a PF all the way. Maybe when he's in his 30's he'll be as strong as KG became. But Garnett himself was a relatively thin guy in his best seasons.

Wow, he's a tree out there at SF. When his corner three is falling he looks a bit like Rashard Lewis in his early days.

Davis actually seems to have a wider frame than KG. He looks more like Dwight's frame(in high school) than he does Garnett. I think settling in around Aldridge/KG/Duncan size would be good. KG probably has the thinnest natural frame of all these guys, he just busted ass to maintain that weight.

One really encouraging thing is how well he finishes with contact even without much meat on his bones. I think he'll get to about 245-250 and that would be way more than enough.

He was 221 I believe pre-draft. He's looked a little bigger than that this season, probably around 225ish. Looks like he's retained his weight too, which is the problem for a lot of thin guys(losing weight over the course of the year).

His frame is impressive for a skinny guy. Plenty of weight potential.

I don't know that he really has "plenty of weight" potential. At least not much and still be able to retain speed and agility

maybe in the 235-240 range, at most. He'll be able to convert that to wiry muscle I'd assume. Wiry strong most likely. Marcus Camby was DPOY when he was probably in the 235-240 range, and a good rebounder as well.

25 years ago, Davis would have been overmatched against most big men. But the NBA has changed. You don't want Davis to be defending guys like Pekovich or Marc Gasol or DH, but there really aren't that many types of bigs anymore, and it appears he has the mobility to chase the more perimeter oriented bigs round the floor, so the Hornets won't have to shelter him too much from the truly wide guys

Guys like Chris Bosh have played at 240 or so, and he's wayyyy wider at the shoulders and chest than that. I wouldn't want him too much over 240 anyway, but he could get over that without a significant loss to athleticism.
