Jones kept going forward and planted himself squarely under where Kobe's landing spot was. Kobe was fading away and out of bounds for Christ's sake and Jones didn't even really jump to contend. Kobe "kicked" a leg, but it wasn't even the one he under cut. Jones undercut his back one.

That hurts just watching it. Anyone that has come down like this knows how much that can hurt.

Pathetic play. I'm certainly not a Kobe fan but this isn't the way I wanted to see the Lakers this year. I was really hoping for an epic Laker/Miami Finals for the ages. I'm not a fan of either team but that would be something to watch. Let's hope it happens.

i wish jones had some fans and/or atlanta had a sizable fanbase. we'd take over their board and get us all banned....but it would be worth it. anything for kobe.

wow.

I agree that it was a foul, but Kobe has gotten away with so many ticky tacky calls over the years, some when all the defender did was breathe on him, that they'll never catch up to even the score.

I don't agree that Jones was trying to hurt Kobe but he was intentionally undercutting him to make him miss, and everyone knows the potential for injury with a play like that.

This makes no sense. The undercut happened AFTER the shot was released. The whole point is trying to get the player landing after the shot.

I personally think Kobe should sit a few games and recover for the final stretch of the season. We don't need him injuring himself more and handicapping himself for the playoffs if we make it. He shouldn't let his ego take over.

But he's proved us wrong and we can do it again...
