Lindland is one of the highest level wrestlers ever to transition to MMA. The Olympic silver medalist and star of the "dark era" of the UFC ended his career with a 22-9 record and a gaudy 9-3 record in the UFC. He holds wins over Pat Miletich, Ricardo Almeida, Carlos Newton, Jeremy Horn, and Phil Baroni. Lindland is also one of the original founders of Team Quest.

The forner Pride star and Abu Dhabi World Champion has an MMA career record of 14-5, with wins over Alistair Overeem, Wanderlei Silva, Guy Mezger, Jeremy Horn, and Dan Henderson.

One of the early pioneers of the Flyweight division in Japan, Uru$hitani has long been one of the best 125 pound fighters on the planet. The longtime Shooto veteran has a 19-6 record, including wins over John Dodson, Yuki Shojo, and Mamoru Yamaguchi.

With his swift fall from grace, it is sometimes difficult to remember just how good Karo Parisyan was in the early days of Zuffa UFC. Karo currently sits at 22-9, with an 8-4 record inside the UFC. He has fought a who's who of talented Welterweights and holds victories over Josh Burkman, Matt Serra, Chris Lytle, and Nick Diaz. It is also important to keep in mind that Karo was 18-5 at the point where he really started to struggle with panic attacks.

He has a 26 - 7 career record, and that includes having lost his last two times out. Yamaguchi holds wins over Frank Baca, Kiyotaka Shimizu, Yuki Shojo, and Yasuhiro Uru$hitani. He is very popular in Japan, both for his style of fighting and his awesome afro.

Make this list a few years from now, and Weidman might be in the top 30.

Caol Uno was one of the early stars of the Lightweight division, both in the UFC and in Japan. Uno became the Shooto champion before joining the UFC when they added the Lightweight division. He fought for the UFC title and had many big fights in the UFC. Uno holds victories over Din Thomas, Yves Edwards, Ivan Menjivar, Dennis Hallman, and Rumina Sato. He also has 2 memorable draws, one against BJ Penn, and the other against Tatsuya Kawajiri. Uno's career record of 27-16 may not look other wordly, but he has consistently fought the best fighters in his weight class, and a lot of those losses have come recently.
