OT: Who in the NBA are you most annoyed of?

Guys who annoy me:

DeMarcus Cousins: he's perhaps the most petulant NBA player I've ever seen, and that's saying something.

Blake Griffin: His glaring at every perceived injustice and his flopping are both insufferable but he gets points in my book for his commercials and his sense of humor.

Kurt Thomas: he's old and fat and still draws 2-3 charges a game. Here's a tip for the young players out there: go AROUND him! He's old and fat and slow.

Finally, anyone with an elaborate made-three-pointer celebration. Three-pointers have never been so common in the history of the NBA, why act like you just did something exceptional?

You may disagree but it is totally relevant. Jordan had problems with his teammates (see Horace Grant) Jordan got extremely lucky to be paired up with someone as talented as Pippen that was willing to play Robin and take his crap.

My point was to show Pippen's real value and Barkley just happened to be my example. But you continue to make my point for me by pairing up Pippen with others. And my point is... no Pippen... no rings for Jordan.

Just because Jordan had some great players around him and a great coach does not diminish what he accomplished. Why? Because a lot of guys have had great coaches and great teammates and have accomplished far less.

I give you props for flipping the argument around, though. Usually people argue that Phil Jackson was only great because he had great players and that Pippen was only great because of Jordan. This is probably the first time I've heard someone argue that Jordan was overrated and that he owes his rings to Scottie Pippen.

No, I have no doubts that Jordan needed Pippen. That doesn't make Pippen the G.O.A.T or anything. Jordan could have been paired with many others players and still would have won rings. Believe me, I'm equally as annoyed by MJ, but I don't mistakenly give the credit for his accomplishments to Pip.

Oh I mainly went based on looks but, I guess if we can name people who I just plain "hate", I would put Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnet on that list.

As far as really annoying me, it use to be Kobe and the damn Lakers and Tim Duncan and the damn Spurs, cause they took over for the bulls and have been the most recent jerks to knock us out of the finals.


I was also doing only active players, but I don't think anyone needs to tell a once 10 year old at NBA Finals in Salt Lake about how #$*Ying lame MJ is....

Yes it does. Pippen is by far the greatest "wing man" (the buddy you want with you @ the bar) of all time. Phil some would argue the greatest coach. Plus a hall of fame rebounder.

So Russell has more rings... lots more rings... but does that make what he did more special than Jordan?

Hell no... because the league was small (just go look at how fews teams were in the league back then). And his teams were even more stacked compared to the competition at the time. The teams you play and who you have around you matters... a lot.

Pippen messes up his knee in the late 80s and Jordan were is jordan? Probably no rings.... definitely not considered the goat... that would be a center like Kareem. No Pippen... who knows what happens with MJ. Things could have spiraled out of control for MJ... he had his demons too.

Hard to mention just a few of them... I'll try:

- the Oklahoma City Thunder. It was even worse until they traded Harden, the guy I disliked the most out of them (not discrediting him as a player, he's great, I just can't stand the way he plays). Most of them still irk me though. Especially Ibaka, if I had to pick one.

- Rajon Rondo. Inconsistent effort, cocky attitude, overrated defense, stat-padding, annoyingly flawed offensive game. I would have still loved it for the Jazz to trade for him when he was reportedly being shopped, though, and felt bad when he went down with that knee injury.

- Kris Humphries. Crazy how he still managed to get in his coach's doghouse despite having just signed that $12 million contract. But not really surprising.

- Andrea Bargnani, because it's been terribly frustrating following him all these years hoping he would get it one day, just to constantly watch him not giving a single ****.

- Boris Diaw. Unprofessional NBA players piss me off. Especially when they are that talented.

I agree, but disagree. I hate him with a passion when we play against him. He has a certain kind of arrogance that really irks people, fellow players included, I think. But you have to admire the physical ability. Its just ridiculous. Also the Kia commercials are HILarious.

i gotta go with joakim noah as a big one. he just bothers me so much. that god awful form on that shot is just a monstrosity.
I really dont like kobe bryant. his game is amazing but that stupid under bite intensity thing is just so dumb. we get it, you hit a big shot. i hate that. i also hate how much bullshet he gets away with with the refs, throwing his arms, clapping, yelling about not getting a call.
I never really cared about him before, but the whole orlando debacle made me really really dislike dwight. he is kind of a punkass.
matt barnes and kevin garnett can both go suck tail types til death too.

Noah and Gasol have that "Gollum" look and are borderline monsters from the abyss! Then Westbrook has that closet case homosexual look when he walks around. Not that being gay is bad, but you know those insecure people who hide their "gay side" how extremely akwward they are, Westbrook looks like that to me, plus he is super annoying everytime he is called with a foul.
