I was on the fence about Calderone when we traded for him , but after watching him for the last month or so it's pretty clear he not the man to lead us at point. If anyone has the time read the toronto forum on Calderone, the general concensus is he's a empty stat filler. What does it say about a player when a month after he's traded they start a forum on him and bash him with more then 80+ post.Thats some serious hate. I think when you build a team ,to contend eventually, you don't build it too cover up one or players weaknesses on defense .You build it with guys that can all play defense,at least on the starting five, thats pistons basketball. If I have to pay 6 to 7 mil. on a point guard this year I would rather it be Jarret Jack.

The difference in tone between these game threads and the Draft/Tank threads is kind of hilarious. No point wringing your hands at this point in the season. I wanted us to progress and make the playoffs this year too, but now that any hope of a post-season run is a distant speck in our rear view mirror, it's time to embrace this losing streak and go all in for the draft. We know who has to go (Stuck, Max, Bynum at a minimum, perhaps CV and Calderon as well), and where we desperately need help (SF), so let's limp through this last stretch and see what the lotto brings.
