Didn't the Ravens already win for 2013?

random thots-

FAs are not only about talent but also the system in which their success was achieved. Change the system and their success probably changes - rarely for the better.

Seattle seems more like Washington this year than Washington does.
Seems dumb to give a 1st for oft-injured harvin when you could have oft-injured Jennings for nothing and less $alary. and could have drafted a top rookie.

RBs often decline suddenly and fast. Jackson? We'll see.

One of Spencer or Krueger were the only guys I really wanted. We'll see if they rise or chump out.

I think I know the reference, but can you explain the inside joke on the contenders/not contenders? Maybe I was even a part of it?

It's all based on 'contenders' being retroactively defined as 'whatever team won the most recent game'. Teams that lost in the playoffs were thus never "true contenders". I carried it through to its logical conclusion: only the team that wins the Super Bowl is or was ever a true contender. Everybody else was once a potential contender but was then proven to be too soft.
