Don't worry floater, +/- is kind of a dumb stat in my opinion.

Man, when's the last time you saw *two* starters drop goose eggs in the points department? Temple played a typical Temple game, zero points notwithstanding, but Collins' stat line is an accurate depiction of his contribution.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

That stat is the most overrated stat known to mankind if you ask my opinion.

I've seen guys drop 0,0,0 and have a +17 in games. I mean WTF.

Wait a min.
Goran Dragic was drafted 2nd Rnd, 15th and is locked in for 7.5 for the next 3 years ?
Anyway.
Not sure if I have said this before but...terrible win. Man that was ugly. 21 turnovers ?
Yeah, it was a road win.
But it was using Collin at center. Ves didn't play. Nor did Singleton. And we won against a team we are competing with for a higher draft slot.

Collins could be possibly the worst NBA player in history that started. He will start against the Lakers and GS. The tank fix is in.

I don't know if I would shut down Beal, but I wouldn't t rush him back at all...he didnt look quick at all since his return. Another thing I noticed about him was he's more effective going right than stepping back...when he forces the issue left, he gets into trouble.

Dragic is underrated.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Only watched the first half. The turnovers were ridiculous. However it was nice to see them playing strong D even without Okafor.
Seraphin isn't developing as fast as we would like but he is starting to pass out of the post and is trying to use different moves inside. I am not ready to give up on him yet.
Sucks about Beal getting hurt again.

Re: GT: Washington @ Phoenix - 10:00
Wasn't able to see last night's game. I have it on the DVR, but it sounds (and looks from the box) like it was kinda boring -- tho it's always fun to watch a win.
We scored 29 points in the 2d half and won the game. That's weird. Our defense must have been awfully good -- held them to 53 points the final 3 quarters!
Via our many turnovers we gave them 15 more shots than we had, and we still won pretty handily. Weird.

Why did Beal get the tech on the play in which he got hurt? Anyone see?

I couldn't figure that out either. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with what he did.

Using +/- to judge a player's performance on an individual game can be misleading... But over multiple games, I think it's accurate in showing the overall impact a player has.

You can't throw your mouthpiece out under any circumstance. I think the NBA will review it and rescind the tech

I like the anti-tank win when it comes at least partially as a result
of solid post work by KSera. He may yet turn out to be serviceable.
Last game he dunked in traffic and made a nice pass out of a double team.
It was like he read that post from a week or so ago after Wall dropped
a nasty x-over pull up 3 about what the comparable thing for 'veen to do
would be.
PHO is awful. CHA won again last night, not that they're in any danger of
catching us, but just simply takes some of the bad taste of losing to them
out of my mouth.

Plus/Minus for a game can tell you something but you need to look under the hood and get more information.
http://popcornmachine.net/cgi-bin/gamef ... ame=WASPHO
You want to see who he was out there with and what happened.
Almost all of the (-) came from the first quarter when Temple and Webster went out. That is also when M Morris went to the bench and L Scola came in which helped PHX. So that was most the (-) game for Wall for the game.
It also looks like Temple was key to Walls plus/minus.
In the first quarter, in the 2 min Wall was out there without Temple -5
Wall was out there for 1:20 in the 3rd without Temple -2
Wall was out there for without Temple for 2 mins in the 4th -1
Total +/- Wall with Temple on the court: +2
Also, the +13 the Wizards had was when Dragic was out of the game. That was the only time Dragic sat the entire game. Wall was also out during that time so he got none of the benefit of that +13. That 7:30 seconds had Kendall Marshall at PG. That is where the game was lost for PHX.
So in the time Wall was out there with Temple and Dragic was out there also, the Wizards basically played them to a stand still. Looking at Wall and Dragic's number pretty much tell the same story. But Dragic played 6 more total minutes. Off those minutes, PHX was +2. Pretty much a wash.
I would say Wall was not a huge factor good or bad as much as PHX sucked without Dragic out there. That is when the +13 happened and the player out there had their number reflect this:
Temple +13, Beal +7, Trevor A +11, Booker +10 and Kevin S +11 were out there. They all got the benefit of that +13 as is shown in there +/- numbers.
Thats kind of how you have to break it down.
Wall's -6 do not reflect he had a bad game and the plus numbers next to the other don't reflect they played way better then Wall. What the numbers really show is, who was out there playing well while Dragic sat.

The biggest change I've seen from Seraphin over the past few games is that his sticky fingers have apparently lost some of its adhesiveness.
Seeing him pass the ball on occasion and patiently waiting for the double to find an open teammate has been quite a site to behold.
