if you don't suffer for your art, you're not really an artist.

Spoiler:
So I don't leave EArl without context, I was complaining about critical listening to mutliple takes of a bass track for the last two hours. Then I edited it because I'm not really complaining. Now I'm pretty much just rambling because it's almost 4am and I'm kinda worn out.

Also I feel for ya EArl, BECAUSE I ALREADY GOT MY MECH B.ENG. I'd rather have tired ears, empathy abound.

And yes, five edits. Many tired mistakes.

At least your not studying for a bio molecular engineering final that is in 5 hours.

Damn you and your Biotech Gek

I started off today climbing a small mountain on an empty stomach (well, plus coffee). I was ravenous by the time I got home, but I always feel better than gut puck hiking, myself. there's something about having nothing in your stomach that makes you feel weightless while you're moving.

Felt pretty good after the run. Was tired earlier but feel a bit more refresh. Also just drank two cups of a banana smoothie for dinner. Feels good to get slimmer. Just the down side is that I need to wear a belt with all my pants and shorts for now on.

When I ride bikes I have much more endurance if I eat a good meal about .5hr before. You gotta have fuel. And I think they've found that you burn more calories/fat if you eat before exercising too.

I love the field. I did a year in a molecular engineering lab, but didn't do molecular engineering.

Sitting in a boring lecture on nerve guides right now.

You have to get some protein bro. Soluble fiber is where it's at for weight loss.

Lol to induce brain injuries in mice they have machines where they smash their heads with pistons.

Reminds me of the "drowning" test for depression mice models where they put them in a tube and quantify will to live by how long they try to swim and get out of the tube.

I can't run on a full stomach. I have to eat three hours minimum before a workout or else I'll be puking it out.
It also depends on the type of workout. If its a cross country workout 8+ miles at a slower pace than I can eat a little more since the energy comes in handy.
If its a track workout I'll eat a full meal three hours before or if it's a morning run just a piece of bread.
I can't run speed workouts like 300 repeat etc on a full stomach workout.

Finished my biotech final. Having some breakfast in the dining hall and then to sleep for a few hours and then to get ready for my last and final final.

I did not say anything about a full stomach but just a bagel, apple or a banana and a glass of milk goes a long way to providing carbs for a more effective workout. There's a really bad bro-science myth that doing cardio early in the morning, without food makes you lose more fat but that's just terribly bad.

If anything I'd rather do heavy weights if I could workout in the morning when my growth hormone levels are high and run in the evening so I can sleep more peacefully.

Speaking from experience, your body produces chemicals that aid in digestion and these are high in the morning when you have barely eaten anything during your sleep, if you don't eat breakfast, this might just spoil your stomach lining and cause more issues like an acid reflux.

They do some pretty bad **** to mice. Kind of feel sorry for them.

Theres a lab in my school that literally breaks their spinal cord followed by injections of stem cells to see if the spinal cord regenerates.

My comment wasn't from actual facts. Just more on personal experience. If you are a regular run of the mill jogger than eating a good meal is understandable. But when you have to run 8 400 meter repeats at 60 seconds, the food in your stomach slows you down.

IDK ever since I started running in high school I was always paranoid about eating before a big race.

I dont know to much about the losing fat part. I run for the fun and competitiveness of it.
