Chepo blew Mexico's 2-0 lead today. His substitutions for our first two WCQ have been awful. Honduras is looking like they're going to be the team to beat in the Hex.

Don't let that tie fool you. Mexico is the team to beat. They are pretty much unbeatable at the Azteca.

Beautiful goal by Suarez. He is just class. Cavanni is rated better in Europe, but for Uruguay, Suarez is without question the best player

Subbing out Hernandez and Dos Santos due to injury hurt Mexico's attack, they really struggled with possession after those 2 left the field. None of the midfielders were up to par. Francisco Rodriguez's yellow means he's out for the U.S. match, not sure if I'm happy about that as a U.S. fan, the guy is the weakest link of their defense and shouldn't be starting. I don't know what De La Torre sees.

Honduras only played well in the last 15-20 minutes of the game, other than that they weren't very impressive. A lot of bad shots. I'd still put them as a team that is likely to be in the WC, CONCACAF very likely gets 4 since 4th place playoff is against New Zealand.

This.

Instead of subbing in players to help the middle, Chepo puts in two forwards that didn't impact the game at all.

He puts in Herrera in the last 5 minutes of the game, which was 85 mins too late. He should have started the game instead of Salcido bleh

And Maza was at fault for both goals by Honduras. Good thing he's now suspended for the USA game on Tuesday. Addition by subtraction.

Horrible draw at home for Uruguay vs a weak Paraguay. I don't get what has happened to this team. They were so good (and lucky) in the world cup and really good in Copa America. They started off on fire for the WC qualifying, but they have been below average as of late. They have 2 of the best strikers in the world and quality players in most of their positions.

Well, things are looking good for Colombia. With Uruguay's draw and Messi destroying Venezuela, we have a clear 6 point lead on the teams behind us with one game less played than them.

I can't believe the conditions all of these concacaf games get played in. I know there is gamesmanship involved, but there has to be professionalism. In Panama, the address of the hotel where Canada was staying got leaked and the people did not let the players sleep. In Honduras, the field conditions where horrible and the atmosphere was horrendous. Now the U.S tries to return the favor by playing in the freaking North Pole.

I don't really see this issue as much in the other federations.

I heard there were people fainting in the stands in the Honduras-Mexico game because of the heat.

Great day for Colombia.
1) Argentina 23 points with 10 games played
2) Colombia 19 points with 9 games played
3) Ecuador 17 points with 9 games played
4) Uruguay 13 points with 10 games played
5) Venezuela 12 points with 10 games played
6) Chile 12 points with 10 games played
7) Peru 11 points with 10 games played
8) Bolivia 8 points with 10 games played
9) Paraguay 8 points with 10 games played

Colombia is now at least 6 points ahead of the 4th and 5th team with one less game played. It would take a historic meltdown for us to miss out on the WC.

Given the extra game in hand for Colombia and Ecuador, I'd say they are pretty locked in to get in automatically. The race for the last automatic spot and the playoff spot is going to be something to watch.

The U.S vs Mexico game will be really important for both teams. The intensity is always high, but it will be crazy since both teams are struggling

The mind games start! I am very excited for this game on Tuesday.

MEXICO CITY – Just hours after arriving into Mexico City on a charter from snowy Denver on Sunday evening, the US national team trained behind closed doors at Cruz Azul's practice facilities at La Noria.

Or so they thought.

Ahead of Tuesday night's World Cup qualifier at the Estadio Azteca (10:30 pm ET, ESPN and Univision), Mexican media went to incredible lengths to watch the US practice from a nearby rooftop

Ecuador-Paraguay game was cloe until the second halg where Ecuador blew it wide open. Ecuador is playing very well.

Argentina always struggles in La Paz. Their 1-1 draw is an improvement over the 6-1 beat down they took last time they were in La Paz.

Good game between Colombia and Venzuela. Plenty of chances for both teams. Unfortunately, we came up with the loss. I am kind of glad we lost. People in Colombia were getting too arrogant and exaggerating our capabilities. True, Colombia has one of the most talented attacks in the world, but we are still horrible defensively and get saved by our keeper way too often. People in Colombia got cocky because we haven't allowed many goals, but that has been mostly because we control possession and score a lot of goals.
Venezuela parked the bus on us, I guess that's kind of a compliment lol.

On to Argentina in June. That will be one awesome game since Argentina won't park the bus on us and the game should be wide open.

Colombia vs Argentina this Friday should be a hell of a game. It's on at 6 om ET on BEin sports. You guys should all tune in to see 2 attacking teams go at it in what should be a very open and entertaining game.

Good bet. Both teams are very offensive minded and skilled and both have piss poor defense.

Mexico vs Jamaica qualifier is tonight if anyone is interested. A must win for Mexico since they drew 0-0 in Azteca.
