No longer a priority
Over the last two weeks and for the foreseeable future, the Jazz have ceased to be a priority for me. I used to go out of my way to make sure I watched every game, even when traveling. I'd make sure that at any given time I had the next 1-2 weeks set on my DVR to make sure I didn't miss a game by accident.
But with the teams recent performance, I've just lost the energy and excitement for it. I will still watch games when it's convenient, but if I miss one or three it's not like they would have played well in them. I'm not involved enough with the Jazz organization to know who to blame (although I tend more towards Corbin than the FO), but I do know that if my slide towards apathy is any indication than the team is going to start feeling it in their pocketbook in the next few years unless they turn things around.
I'm still a fan, and I still want them to do well. But seeing the Jazz play just isn't as important to me as it was even a month ago.

Re: No longer a priority
I have been telling my wife and daughters that there is a Jazz game on tonight.
Then they groan, so I say, well we will watch what you want tonight. But remember that the next time I am watching a game.
Earning credits for next year with the future on display and a new coach.

I completely agree...... I have religiously watched every jazz game, (except a couple when I had no access to television) for the last 6 years...... I refuse to watch anymore...... Watching Jefferson/Millsap/Williams just makes me angry....... Watching Corbin do nothing on the sidelines makes me homicidal......

Genius.

For me, its difficult to watch this team. I follow them closely, but I find that watching the games leaves me angry, resentful and discouraged. So most of the time I just put them on DVR, watch snippets that interest me (mostly when the young guys are on the floor) follow any quality coverage I can get through the media and get most of my information through tracking the numbers.
As soon as the arrow is actually pointing up again and we are making positive strides toward a concrete, definable future, I will start watching religiously again. But until then, I do not need the emotional collateral damage that comes from doing so.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

At this point I mostly just follow what the young guys do from game to game, beyond that I don't really care.

Not me man, I'll be just as miserable as this team is even if its that way for the rest of my life. If things stay the way they are now, it really shouldn't be much longer before this team kills me anyway.
