Crazy thing is Wall could have easily had a 20+ assist game. We had a quite a few wide open misses in the first half.

Ariza was just ridiculous tonight. He's had a few great performances of late. Anybody remember the scribe that was ready to bet the farm that Ariza would never have a game as efficient as the one he had against the Knicks?

Is there really a chance that he'll be back under his current deal? Seems like he'd be a fool not to opt out to go for a multi year deal given his recent play.

Given the choice between Webster and Ariza I'd almost prefer Trevor because of his defensive versatility and the fact that he's a true three.

Big part of it is because he's now got the confidence to shoot the pull-up jumper if the defender goes under the pick. Didn't see that in his first 2 years.

Amazing game. I think a lot of it was the Lakers assuming (like I did) that the game was over by halftime. But that doesn't take away from a great game by the Wiz. Kobe nearly got 2 3's in the last 3 seconds.

There was a point in the game where he and Webster looked like the only two players that had any heart and were not shrinking on the big stage.

Then Trevor A and Wall stepped up.

Temple and Webster deserve mad props. They got it rolling. Then their teammates stepped in.

Absolutely sick game by Trevor A. Career high for hitting from 3 land.

And Wall had his career high in assists.

Two awesome career highs in one game.

Kobe was horrible defensively and he missed free throws which helped.

Wall was amazing. If you were on the trade him bandwagon I think you need to hop off that and give the kid credit for performing great during this month. I hope he can continue this into next month and be next season. He is still very young.

Side note: Cartier Martin is the suck. Since he's returned from his injury hes averaged 2.8 ppg on .280 shooting

I remember Zach Lowe saying that the Lakers pick and roll defense was horrible with Nash and surprisingly Howard. Howard has lost a lot of his quickness since his back surgery. Couple that with Kobe gambling for steals and playing off of Ariza down the stretch and it was nice to see teh Wizards come up top in a close game down the stretch in LA.

The Wizards do have a superstar.

He's that good now, hitting the three and playing instinctively and with confidence. John Wall is a great player. He skipped good and went from average to great.

"I'm on such a euphoric high right now that I'm going to let it all spill about the Wizards! Bear with me here!

Wall has been playing exceptional the past two weeks. I'm looking up the stats right now and this is what I find. In the month of March John Wall is averaging this:

(Excluding tonights game)
20 ppg
7.7 assists
4.3 rebounds
.522 FG% !!!!!!
.852 FT%
2 steals
3.64 TOs....eh.

Out of 35.4 minutes per game.

If I saw this John Wall game in and game out I would not hesitate to resign him at all. Dude, has been lights out recently. I give him a lot of criticism at times because of his hype coming out of Kentucky. The kid is still young. He's two years younger than me. He's younger than the Damon Lillard, who is going to be RotY. I think we expected too much too soon. Wall is raw potential and I can see it slowing piecing together. His half court game has grown a lot since his rookie year. His vision and passing is great. He doesn't pull off crazy pazzes like Nash and Kidd in their prime but more King James jump passes to the open man in the corner 3. Since Wall has return Beal, Ariza, Webster, maybe Okafor(?) have all seen their percentage increase and have rained more 3s (not Okafor). While there are times where I want to ring Wall's neck, I can't help but say the man has turned around the Wizards season since coming back. Maybe it's something we don't see on the court? It could be his leadership, his work ethic, his desire to win, I'm not sure but it can't be a random coincidence that the Wizards have better than a .500% since Wall has returned. I'm extremely excited for the Wizards front court in the future. John Wall and Bradley Beal. As long as they can stay healthy I will truly BEALieve next year the Wizards will make sixth seed or better.

In the off season if I'm Ernie, whom I can't stand and I have no clue what to predict from him, I'm doing this. 1) I'm keeping Wall. If it's a max contract, sadly, you have to offer it. The Wizards can't afford to lose Wall and fall back into obscurity. They can't. If they lose Wall they might as well abandon ship and start all over. Wall & Beal are the future for the Wizards. They have a great relationship already. They feed off each other well. Beal's jumper and three point percentage sky rocketed since Wall's return, before he was under .400! 2) Re-sign Martell Webster at all costs. Webster has said being with the Wizards has been the most fun he has ever had. Keep him here. He is shooting .453 from downtown! That's ridiculous. 3) Ariza and Okafor have player options. If they were too opt out (I can't fathom why they would since they would make considerably less) then I'd attempt to keep Okafor far more than Ariza. Okafor hasn't been bad at all. He's able to hit elbow jumpers. Him and Nene play well together. I'd take Okafor a thousand times over Kevin Seraphin. 4) Draft? I dunno, we need another shooter of SF. Oladipo? Or trade that pick. But please Ernie not another Randy Foye and Mike Miller trade for a lottery pick. Jesus Christ!!! 5) Wittman: He has surprised me...surprisingly. He has the Wizards playing hard. They are playing exceptional defense since Walls return. I finally see an offense. Ever since the boneheads (McGee, Young, Crawford) have left you see a competent team that is competing every game. Not attempting to showcase themselves. The Wizards have (had including Crawford) 8 players averaging more than 9 ppg. That goes to show that any game they are willing to let the player who has going to carry the load. There isn't a so called go-to player throughout the game. Crunch time it becomes Wall, Beal, or seldomly Nene, but Wittman's almost equal or random MPG is working out. Except Jan Vesley. He still sucks. Worst draft pick ever!? 6) And lastly just continue to BEALieve."

Sooooo I'm never betting a game involving the Wizards again. I had a 6 team parlay and I was at 4/6 before this game. Thought there was no way the NBA would let us win this game with LA fighting for a playoff spot and what not. I turn it on to see we're down 16 at half. Check back and see we're down 2 or 3 and then proceed to go on a 7 point run in the final 2 minutes before Kobe's 3. Are you kidding me? :lol:

But, alas, it was all worth it. This game proved to me that Wall has arrived. Man he is something else.

Temple was a good pickup. A jumper by Collins followed by a two and a three by Temple got the Wizards back in the game.

LSU alum here, loved Temple while he was with us. His defense was incredible. He ended JJ's career at Duke in the Sweet 16. He was an incredible defender and is doing the job on that side of the ball here. However; he thought he had a 3 pt shot in college and would jack it all the time from 3. That would infuriate me. Loving his play on the Wizards however. I hope we keep him.

You are so right, Wall with a jumpshot is a superstar. We are now winning games we shouldn't win. Some nights, he is carrying the team to wins.
