War/Photography: Images of Armed Conflict and its Aftermath
Not exactly a "feel good" exhibit, but from the people I've talked to who have seen this it is incredibly powerful and haunting. This is a collection of war photography starting in the Mexican-American War going all the way up to recent headlines. The collection is said to be arranged in such a manner as to accentuate the impact on the individuals living in these war-torn areas. The exhibit can be seen at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston and will eventually go on the road with stops in Los Angeles, Washington D.C. & Brooklyn. I believe that it will return here after that, but I'm not sure.
I'm planning on checking this out once I'm no longer a walking petri dish for the flu.
Go Houston!
