Not true. The outside consensus in the last 2 playoffs was that the Bulls, Pacers, Celtics, and Thunder could beat us. This year, it seems like everyone has us as the title favorite.

Yep, if you lose... then... its pretty much a laughing stock festival. No way you can / should lose... but HEY - maybe the Lakers will step up and get another championship? Who knows.

Getting all the way to the finals and losing, even with being the"favorite" (we dont even know who comes out of the west) will make a team a "laughing stock"?

I dont care about perception. Wanting to be the underdog or go under the radar is for chump teams that get nervous on the big stage. We got the best team in the league and the best player in the league, I've got no problem with us being the prohibitive favorite every time they touch the floor. That's the way it should be when your expectations are championship or nothing
