Looks like we're going to have to go at least 8-6 (including a W over the Pacers @ MSG) to get the 2nd seed. Won't be easy.

5 of the Pacers next 6 are not gimme's, they might lose at least 4 of these.

Hey, after reading how the Heat are overrated and Wade couldn't play in the 90's, and 25 game win streaks are meaningless, I'm entitled to say my piece.

Seems like everyone has enjoyed 10+ wins streaks this year, it's the Knicks turn.

Realistically there are 2 maybe 3 games we could lose the other are very winnable. We'd have to go 8-6 the rest of the way so 50 wins is not laughable.

I was reading through that thread and there were just spoonfuls of hate scattered throughout... Lebron James would've been a handful for the 72 win bulls... for me that Miami team would have trouble with San Antonio's twin towers... they would've had trouble with 85-86 Celtic team because of their size.. they would've struggled with the Bad Boy Pistons... in the Pistons era.. and the 86 Lakers.. I'd probably put them at the very bottom of the 10 best teams I've seen with the caveat if they finish the job.. especially if they breeze.

So you're predicting they'll go 12-2 or 11-3?

I'm predicting we reach 50 wins 8-6 is attainable anything more than that is gravy.

Imo the Heat don't have a center mainly because they don't need any in this era.

When Wade won his first they had serviceable bigs, and if playing in that era I'm sure Riley would have one there as well.

I would be concerned with the mental side of their games in those eras but not their talent.

But if they get that record and win? No doubt.....top 10 greatest team assembled.

The bolded is exactly why they AREN'T a great team. In any other era they'd be abused for that problem and no amount of talent makes up for it. Lebron and Wade could be handfuls, but having no C whatsoever means they lose to any team with size which is just about EVERY elite team in history.

But what Thugger is saying which I agree with is Riley has built the team according to the competition they have to face... and given a different scenario or if the team had been dropped in a different era he's capable enough and smart enough of a GM to just move a piece here or there and tool the team with a Center.

You just have to figure this... is there going to be a team from 2010-2019 that is going to be better than this Heat team that isn't just another version of this Heat team in a different season in the future?

The way I look at it is you put Lebron and Wade on any team surrounded by any given group of role players and they're always going to be scary good the exact same way if you put MJ and Scottie on any team and surround them by any given group of players.
