Mike D'Antoni is in favor of Dwight Howard practicing his jumper.

"We want to just expand his game all over," D'Antoni said on Monday. "If he’s going to dominate the league – which he’s young enough and he can – you can’t play within a four-foot box. You got to play. And he’s doing that. He’s getting more confidence. I think that will help him on his foul shooting and it will help his overall game. He shoots the ball well and we want to keep developing that and keep getting better."

Dwight is in his 9th NBA season already. Factor that in together with his massive entitlement issues, and, short of transplanting Olajuwon's brain into his skull, he is what he is and what he always will be.

Its looking that way. I havent watched enough Laker basketball to know why he's not playing well this year, but its clear that he and Kobe don't have the chemistry Kobe/Pau or Kobe/Shaq had. And with Kobe in his twilight years, it serves the Lakers much better to stroke Dwight's ego and start showing Kobe the door.
