If the Heat break the streak, LeBron will get all the rest in the world before the playoffs. I don't know how people don't realize that there is still significant time between the streak being potentially broken and the end of the regular season. LeBron will get his rest and be ready for the playoffs.

For some reason I don't necessarily believe he actually needs all that rest, this Orlando in particular, Lebron was literally walking in the 1st half and midway through the 3rd

SideshowBob, what do you make of Lebron having significantly worse defensive stats on Synergy than Durant this season?

Also, (if its even possible), it'd be cool to see some stat that breaks down the quarter by quarter ratings of Miami over the streak.

Nothing. Synergy's defensive stats are pretty bad. They had Bargniani as a superior defender to Howard last year as well (35 places ahead), and I'm pretty sure they had Durant ahead of Lebron last year as well. They don't really account for anything on the team level (which is all I really care about, man-defense is overrated). They fail to credit help defense altogether, if you get blown by and a shot blocker manages to disrupt your man into a bad shot, you're going to get credit for it. It's that kind of stuff and more. I made a post covering some of the issues a while back, and I hardly covered every flaw.

Also, (if its even possible), it'd be cool to see some stat that breaks down the quarter by quarter ratings of Miami over the streak.

It should be possible, but it'll take some time because NBA.com seems to be the only source that has that kind of data and their possession estimates are off, so I'd have to adjust there. But it shouldn't be too much of an issue. I'll get to it.

Also Durant defends chalmers while Lebron gets the tough assignments . Durants d is crap. Slow laterals, piss poor help d, bad rotations, slow close outs. That's why lb abused him in the finals.

Dont remember Durant guarding LBJ too much in the finals. Got himself in too much foul trouble.

LeBron's really been in PG mode since All-Star Break. he's averaging 25.2/8.4/8.5 since then. Even with his scoring down, his average gamescore is still the same as it was pre-All-Star break. The only downside is his three-point shooting falling off of a cliff.

I read somewhere (either this thread or another one) that Lebron's TS% goes from 57% when Wade is out to 65% when he's in. Is that true? If so, can anyone also tell me the full numbers? For example, with Wade in he's at 26 ppg/65% TS and with Wade out he's at 29 ppg/57% TS or whatever? Thanks.

Yeah, I kept track of that extensively last year and that's been the trend that last three seasons. His scoring rate goes through the roof though, like 87-91 Jordan levels without even accounting for pace.

Wade OUT (All numbers are per 36 minutes)

2011 - 31.3/6.4/6.8 on 56.8% TS
2012 - 30.4/7.3/6.0 on 60.0% TS
2013 - 29.0/7.6/7.8 on 59.8% TS

Adjusted to seasonal MPG

2011 - 33.7/6.9/7.3
2012 - 31.7/7.6/6.3
2013 - 30.9/8.1/8.3

Wade IN (All numbers are per 36 minutes)

2011 - 22.4/7.1/7.1 on 60.8% TS
2012 - 22.7/7.9/6.0 on 61.1% TS
2013 - 23.3/7.5/6.9 on 65.2% TS

Adjusted to seasonal MPG

2011 - 24.1/7.7/7.7
2012 - 23.6/8.2/6.3
2013 - 24.8/8.0/7.3

EDIT: NBA.com's new database has more accurate data. Numbers have been updated.

Wade is a really talented and creative play-maker with a super high BBIQ.
It doesn't surprise me that his presence on the floor helps Lebron out alot.

Some people love to say how Lebron makes life easier on Wade but I say its a two way street.
They both help eachother.

His body language just shifted in the last minute and a half or so and it looks like he's going to be aggressive tonight.

Meh, I hate this 'tale of two halves' that LeBron does. He dominates a portion of the game and then fades into the background and let's others play around. He's scored like 8 pts (2 breakaway dunks) and 2 rebs as of now in the 2nd half, I'd like him to dominate from start to finish for a change...
