Man...I forgot about this thread lol

Celtics ain't even a threat and should the Nets lose tonight in Lob City (High probability), the Knicks are up 3 in the loss column with 14 to play, with the Nets out west on the wicked swing against Denver, Portland, and Utah.

Sig bets on the Knicks winning by 3 or more games?

The Craptors. .377 team, and your lead scorer was present for the games. Martin, Shump, Felton, Novak, Kidd, White, Smith... The Knicks roster was just fine in this game, that's a pathetic excuse.

omerome wrote:But if the Knicks lost to the Craptors...

Then a lot of people would make a lot of noise about a single game. The 72-win Bulls lost to the expansion Craptors in 96, as did the WC Finalist Sonics with DPOY Payton. Sometimes, it's not your night. If the Knicks lost BOTH games, then that would be notable.

Knicks have No Chandler or Amare.

Chandler and Amare > Gay and Bargnani

Your excuses are pathetic

This is a ridiculous argument.

Yes, the loss of both would be important facing another team; suggesting that the absence of Amare and Chandler is meaningful to play the Raptors is foolish nonsense.

The Knicks have WAY too much talent to even consider such arguments as anything other than total gibberish.

The thread title clearly says "Can anybody CATCH the Knicks in the Atlantic"....The answer has been yes considering the Nets are 2 games behind and were tied with the Knicks not too long ago. This thread was made when the Knicks had a 6 game lead and will be the gift that keeps on giving

Dude the Nets have never been "tied" with the Knicks. Until you're even in the loss column, you ain't even. Nets ain't been even with the Knicks in the loss column since Game 1. Sorry brah. As long as the Knicks have games in hand, the Nets ain't even.

Yes, the Knicks have made this interesting with their West Coast swoon, but it'll get less interesting over the next week or so.

Have fun having B.C as your GM and being in the lottery for the rest of eternity.

Unless B.C gives those lottery picks away for studs like Lowry.

Knicks fans always have to turn it around to BC

How can a Raptor fan ever win at any form of trash talking with such a **** franchise :nonono:

But srsly have fun against Boston...you guys should pray that Indiana overtakes you for the 2nd seed. Or Boston rises up the standings.

I think you're giving Boston a bit too much credit there, I have no problem with you doubting the Knicks, but Boston isn't all that especially without Rondo.

Without him they have a difficult time scoring, and they're an abysmal rebounding team.

Not to say they can't win, but I hate when people watch them currently play and say they'll be dangerous, only to reference the past. No Rondo, and KG and Pierce are only getting older.

You should be quite familiar with the Celtics stepping up in the playoffs. Rondo may be out but guys like Jeff Green and Avery Bradley can still fill in the major holes for their team. Never count out KG or Paul "Athletic Marvel" Pierce.

NYKs got some weapons I can clearly see that but you can't always count on them firing come playoffs time as shown in the Knicks past decade.

I expect the Celtics to step it up in the playoffs but I also expect the Knicks to step up too. They have plenty of battle tested veterans who know how to win.

Also, the great thing is, using the past decade as evidence as to how the Knicks will play is irrelevant.

These aren't the same old Knicks, no more Landry Fields', Toney Douglas', Mike Bibby's .. they have proven veterans that aren't gonna shrivel when it matters. I just don't see the Celtics making this more than a 6 game series in which they will fold in.

I still think we're gonna get the 3rd seed though & play the Hawks or Bulls cause we have a really tough schedule left where we still have to play Memphis, OKC, Atlanta 2x, Boston, Miami, Indiana, Chicago.
My lifetime better have a Knicks championship.

I love this opinion that Pierce and KG are not already stepping it up to their playoff levels   .

We will have fun against Boston. This was one of the easiest wins of the season. What's your point?

I'm assuming your're calling this the "gift that keeps on giving" because you're a Knicks hater. I just don't understand what is it giving to you? Knicks have been on top of the Atlantic and have never given the lead up. So as a Knicks hater, how was seeing the Knicks destroy Boston on National TV? Was it as good for you as it was good for me?

I'd assume it's that the Celtics, being a veteran team and really solid, will give the knicks some trouble in the first round. KG didn't play tonight, so you saying it was the easiest win of the season (even with that obviously being hyperbole) is irrelevant when it comes to the playoffs, unless you're underestimating how important KG is to that team.

I was saying it was ONE of the easiest wins of the season and the Knicks were without Tyson Chandler and Amare (and Camby didn't play either).

There's nothing "solid" about Boston. They are the 7th seed for a reason (only 1 game ahead of the Bucks). They will not turn into Miami in the playoffs. Saying that the regular season is irrelevant to the playoffs is pure ignorance. The 7th seed has beaten the 2nd seed only a handful of times in NBA history. There's a reason for that and it's not because the standings "lie".

Yes, the Knicks have made this interesting with their West Coast swoon, but it'll get less interesting over the next week or so.

Oh, my bad a half game back via percentage points If that makes you feel any better about it. Last time I checked the Nets were tied after Nov 26th at 9-4 and leading the division on Nov 28th.

http://www.celticsblog.com/2012/11/28/3 ... aking-nets

So, how exactly did they never lead since day 1 or game 1?

It will get less interesting? Really? With games against Miami, OKC, Atlanta, Chicago, Indiana? A few wins against the Raptors and Magic have suddenly given you that much confidence?

Listen, I'm pretty much have surrendered that division title idea for now but to act like the rest of your schedule is a piece of cake is just ridiculous.
