EG's numbers this season are pretty underwhelming and he's on a max contract with injury problems. If Arnie thought he'd be able to keep his injuries under control then I'd be for it, otherwise I'd just assume draft one of McLemore, Oladipo, Shabazz, Porter and Burke. Or sign OJ Mayo. The only difference between his numbers now and when he was averaging 20pts a game is that he's attempting 4 fewer shots (14 down to 10) and like 1 fewer ft a game. I'd be okay with OJ Mayo taking 14 shots a game on this team. He was really efficient when he was doing it for the Mavs.

Giving up Moose and a top 5 pick is too much. Gordon isn't a max player, but he is on a max player and he's coming off an injury and clearly not happy in NO as shown by his comments in the off season.

We also get ryan anderson who is a stud and a lot better compliment to Dre not to mention has a decent low post game

Agreed...I was basing my trade idea as if McLemore and Muhammad had already been picked before the 4th pick...If you watch a piece of a Hornets game you'll see that Gordon plays like he's fully healthy...I honestly think he isnt giving 100% because he wants out...

I like Ryan Anderson, but to me we can get a SG as good as Gordon with the 4th pick alone. So might as well just keep Moose and draft our SG with 4th pick.

Amnesty CV31, waive Stuckey on the partial guarantee

Pistons trade - Singler, Middleton, 2 2013 2nds

Hornets trade- Gordon, Anderson

Hornets get a few cheap young assets, rid themselves of Gordon not wanting to be there and free up cap space. They can have a core of Davis, Lopez, '13 draft pick, Vasquez, Rivers and room to sign multiple free agents.

Pistons draft Porter and still have enough cap room to sign a guy for ~ $8 M.

Not a chance Hornets give away Gordon and Anderson. Hornets are not in a bad financial position to begin with.

So we are essentially giving them four 2nd round picks and taking away two of their best playes? :o

1) Anderson has come off the bench for the majority of the season and is getting paid $8 million

2) Gordon is signed to a max deal, has missed large chunks of the past 4 seasons and is pulling a Vince Carter.

I don't think taking $20 mil off their cap and allowing them to build OKC style around Davis is any more ridiculous than people wanting to trade a top 5 pick for a max contract guy with significant injury and attitude concerns.

It doesn't seem much different than Minnesota trading Al Jefferson for Kosta Koufas and two heavily protect draft picks.

Moose would probably have to be involved in any deal that brought both Anderson and Gordon back. I think Gordon alone could probably be had for Stuck and our 1st if Pheonix doesnt trump us.

You guys are out your mind. NOL has no incentive to dump Gordon unless it makes there team better. Gordon short term makes their team better . if we offer CV+Stuckey+our 1st. It would be pretty inticing. They get another high lotto pick to surrond davis and cap room in 2014. Anderson would be such a nice compliment off the bench. he's as underrated as Wilson chandler. funny part is anderson destroys us

I don't think the Hornets would bite on that deal, maybe if this was a stronger draft they would. With how horrible this draft is viewed I doubt you can get anything good for your high pick.

Our pick+Moose+Expiring. NOL would be set up for the 2014 class, and have 2 stud young front court players. Honestly this draft is not deep, however where we are picking. its not really something i am worried about

It's amazing how many people think Stuckey has more than marginal trade value. He's an inconsistent tweener who's never really going to get it, and the league knows that.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy
