Deng is a good player, but Loul Deng towards the END of a big contract is one thing, Loul Deng at the beginning is quite another. Still, this was also all under the assumption that Petrie knew what he was doing with the ample cap space he was saving.

Re: Tyreke Evans and his future in Sacramento.
A lot of people think that Kings are going to target a PG in the first round like Michael Carter Williams or Marcus Smart. Williams can't shoot whatsoever and Smart is a drive first combo guard both arent really ideal fits next to Evans. Williams is being compared to Rondo light why not explore a trade with Boston
Tyreke, first rounder for Rondo, Courtney Lee.
Marcus Thornton can play the Ray Allen spot up shooter next to Rondo. Lee is in a crowded backcourt with Terry, Reke, Bradley as it is, can come in and be a solid backup for us.
Celtics make out good with this too, Reke can be a dynamic wing next to Pierce, and they can draft a big to play next to KG like Alex Len

I'd be all for that, but I really doubt Boston would.

I wanna see if Rondo can recover from that serious injury (ACL?) before entering any trade talks that includes him.
But then again, Boston can just wait until the offseason and bid on Tyreke (with their cap space).

I think this has been Tyreke's best year since his rookie season. He still has those occasional dumb plays but his shot selection has gotten a lot better.

He would already be a stud if this team was managed properly.
handed the team over to Demarcus for no reason at all, buried Tyreke on the wing and in the corner and stunted his development as a PG/SG. If he's managed right you're looking at James Harden if not better.
Tyreke has the ability to go for 25-5-5 on any night, if only he was given the damn ball.

The Kings don't need anymore rookie guards!!!! If they are going to pick someone; pick Otto Porter!!!!

Eh, I'm fine with more rookie guards if they are the bpa. I'm generally in favor of bpa and it is especially important this year. The entire team will probably be shaken up once the team is sold so passing on someone like McLemore because we already have Tyreke would be foolish because Tyreke might not be on the team next year anyway.

Good point but McLemore is a moot point if he goes #1 and the Kings aren't picking there! I guess I should've clarified; any guards not named Mclemore. The talk was surrounded around MCW & Smart.

Marcus Smart or Noel, IMO.
Porter isn't a great fit because he doesn't provide spacing as he isn't a prolific shooter. While the first two aren't different, they fill positional needs.
EDIT: MCW is poop.

Kings really need to start drafting based on fit instead of talent/potential. This team can't go forward with a SF rotation of Salmons/Outlaw/Johnson.

Porter doesn't seem that bad of a fit either tbh. If Patterson starts over JT and with Tyreke's improving jumper, the spacing won't be that bad.

That's a very balanced lineup.

Smart's amazing size and defensive potential outweighs anything IT brings to the table.

Re: Tyreke Evans and his future in Sacramento.
I wouldn't mind Smart but the Kings SF rotation has been their weakest position since Ron Artest was traded. Isaiah/Douglas is serviceable and Thomas has been getting better lately.
