I know you guys are high on Derrick Favors, but I'm not sure whether your front office wants to keep Millsap/Jefferson together with Kanter as a sixth man for the near future, given how good you are already (nearly in the playoffs in stronger conference), in which case Favors would be the odd guy out. You guys seem thin in the backcourt, so here is an offer for you:
Derrick Favors, your 2013 pick (roughly around 12-14?), some unwanted salary filler (Evans?)
for
Ramon Sessions, our 2013 pick (probably 1-3, definitely in the top 5)
You could draft a good backcourt player with the pick (McLemore, Oladipo, Smart), plus you add Ramon Sessions to your starting lineup (or an incredible 6th man, he's a really good scorer behind Kemba)
Jefferson/Millsap/Hayward/McLemore/Mo Williams with Sessions, Foye, Marvin, and Kanter, and maybe a FA signing(?) leading the second unit would be pretty dope and might make some noise in the playoffs. It's much more balanced than your current lineup, Kanter gets the minutes he deserves, and this way you get real guards- no more ancient point guards or starting Randy Foye, well-rounded 8 to 10-man rotation.

Tempting...
I would be surprised if the Bobcats would do it. Why wouldn't they just keep their pick and sign Bi Al as a free agent.

I also just proposed Sessions+Taylor+#1 for Favors+Burks+#14 or #21.

I like your core but your team would be magnificent as Sessions+McLemore+Hayward+Millsap+Kanter.

I think our team would be more than happy to keep the first or second pick in this draft but we have more than one hole to fill and we would like to fill those without trading Kemba, Gilchrist and preferably Bismack.
This leaves the pick and Sessions, we have the Portland first owed to us as well as the Detroit pick (I'm willing to bet the Detroit pick is #9 or #10 next year and the Portland pick around #14.
If we have picks 1, 9 and 14 next year we probably could trade this pick, we like Favors and Kanter as Bobcats fans and can anybody offer you better than a top two pick, a defensive shooting swingman prospect and a starting caliber PG?
Because we can.

Not a chance for our next years pick, Favors/Kanter allows us to get better while still having great odds at the top pick.
It's rare to trade the first pick, the potential of this trade for both teams is intriguing.

Re: Bobcats Trade Offer (Includes Our 1st Pick)
Won't trade the 2014 pick. Can't anyway even if we wanted to, Chicago owns it to an extent.
The main reason I don't want to keep our pick is all the top prospects are bad fits. You guys have a need for a guy like McLemore much more than we do.
To the guy who proposed we just sign Big Al, it would make us too good for the top of the 2014 draft, which is what many of us have our sights set on. Plus I like Favors' potential.
If it's a deal-breaker, I could even manage to part with Taylor. He's been inconsistent, but he's only a rookie, but he's got game, and you only have to pay him about $1.5M total over the next two years. Would be a nice backup to your 2 and 3, plays both ends of the floor and adds a dynamic athlete to your team as well.
Sik's deal is really similar, though I don't especially care either way whether we get Burks. We have a better version in Henderson and would just be another rotation player looking to get a payday. I'd rather just have Golden State's pick to work with.

I just don't see the Jazz trading Favors for a pick in this draft.

Re: Bobcats Trade Offer (Includes Our 1st Pick)
Not interested in sessions at all, so I'm gonna act like he's not even in this deal. So basically your asking for Favors + a Lottery pick for the chance to draft a prospect in a draft where the guys in the top 5 are iffy and have a high chance of not being better than the guy you draft with a late lottery pick? Are you insane?!!!!
Not good value at all. We can do alot better than that. Thats an insulting offer. I rather keep favors and take my chances with a guy like McCollum or hope someone like Muhammad falls.

Re: Bobcats Trade Offer (Includes Our 1st Pick)
Favors or Kanter would be top pick this year, and there is no way I trade either of them for any player in this draft, even though McLemore and Smart are intriguing. It is easier to sign a good wing than a good big.
If I were the Jazz GM, I would have tried to trade Al Jefferson (or even Milsap) to you for the Detroit pick and your salary dump of Diop and Warrick before the deadline, though. You would have been able to dump salary/unwanted players, have the inside track of signing Jefferson (5 yr max deal if necessary) this offseason- all for 1 of your 3 first round picks (probably the middle pick) which you really don't need due to the number of young, high draft pick players already on your team and the additional you will get this year and next.

Re: Bobcats Trade Offer (Includes Our 1st Pick)
I didn't think you guys would like it, haha.
Likewise though (post above), I don't think we would've given up the very valuable Detroit pick for a guy who could just walk in FA. Maybe the Portland pick, but still...And it's not really a salary dump either since those guys expire at year's end anyway. Now if you took Tyrus or Gordon? Then sure, but now we're just talking in circles because I don't think you guys touch that one.

We would gladly take on gordon to get more assets (Either portland or detroit pick would work but prefer detroit) and he greatly helps us meet the minimum salary requirements while not making us too good to tank. Might even take Tyrus too depending on what else your offering.
