Chris Paul to Bobcats?

Post#1 » by Makaveli92 » Tue Mar 26, 2013 6:28 am

Would you like to see CP3 on the Bobcats? If the Bobcats can some how get Chris Paul this summer, I would do it, with out even thinking.. CP3 is the type of player that can change a franchise, look at what he did to the Clippers, and look what he did down in N.O. Chris Paul was the last person i thought of when the Bobcats said they would offer a Max deal this summer, but after reading that article on BR, I have to say, it does sounds like something to think about. When I thought of them offering a max i was thinking someone like Josh Smith, or JJ Hickson, but CP3 is a FA this summer, and is from NC, and if I'm not mistaking, he lives in Charlotte doing the off season???????? i know a lot of Bobcat fans like Kemba, to be honest, I dont see Kemba being an All Star, just a role player at best. If the Bobcats can get CP3 this summer, they can then, trade Kemba for some more solid players. Draft McLemore in the draft, if they get Portland's pick draft Kelly Olynk, or the best available PF, sign JJ Hickson, let Mullens and Henderson walk, get rid of Biyombo somehow, idk how, but you cant win with him as your starting C, you just cant, I'm sorry.. MJ said he's tired of losing, so if he's tired of losing, he's going to have to go all out to improve this team, I know a lot of people like 2014's draft, and want them to continue tanking but, I dont think they can go another year like this. If you cant get CP3, i say go after Josh Smith........

are you trolling? CP3 is a bum, he's barely NBA material anymore. Blake Griffin is making him look amazing out there.

I don't mind CP3 but I think he will be an expensive back up for Kemba.

If he could bulk up and play centre, maybe.

a fat albert type of centre who could take up the WHOLE key, would make it difficult to drive

I see Chuck has made the move from Carolina Huddle to here, unfortunately...

Chris Paul isn't coming to Charlotte for anything other than maybe a family function and some road games.

Am I trolling? wtf.. Are you trolling????????? CP3 a bum? barely NBA material? nah, you sound like you're trolling, idk if you are being sarcastic or what..

Do y'all not think MJ and them are at least thinking about this? I garauntee you they are, rather they actually get him or not, that's a different story. Y'all got to be crazy if you say you wouldn't take CP3 over Kemba. If you can't get CP3 you keep Kemba, and offer Josh Smith, or Al Jefferson the max. They need someone here that can change this team, or they can just continue to suck, lol. and i thought about the paragraphs when I posted it, but it's all good. lol.

of course MJ, cho and higgins would LOVE to have paul here and we will probably have enough cash to offer him a max deal. Higgins will make a call to CPs agent and ask if there is any interest. CPs agent will be polite, but quickly say "no thanks" and that will be the end of this dream.

CP is all about chasing a ring right now. he is in his prime and is not going to waste 2-3 years waiting on the Cats to become a contender our and gaining the valuable playoff experience needed to make a push for the finals. We would have to blow up the rebuild, trade our young assets and picks for vets who could help now as well as convincing some free agents to sign here on the cheap. even then we still wont be near good enough to compete with the heat or OKC. if we keep the team as is paul, mclemore, MKG, ??? and biz isnt beating the best teams in the league.

there is absolutely, positively ZERO chance CP will sign here this summer. its a waste of time to even discuss it (which i just did for 2 minutes and will be the last time i discuss it).

It's not unrealistic as you may think, CP even said he wouldn't mind playing for the Bobcats, he didn't go to the Clippers on his own, he got traded to the Clippers, the Clippers were not contenders before he got there, they were just as bad as the Bobcats, now look at them. You think if we got Chris Paul, he wouldn't make this team a contender in the East?

Get CP, clean this roster up. I would get rid of everyone that had something to do with that 11-12 team, only ones I would consider keeping are Kemba, and Henderson. Keep Kemba, he can be a back up to CP, CP can help him improve his game. Mullens, Biyombo, Reggie Williams, and Diop would all be gone! Henderson will most likely be gone this summer regardless, I think he's going to get a good deal somewhere else. You wouldn't have to trade no young assets, we would keep MKG, Kemba, Jeff Taylor draft McLemore, sign CP3, build around that, what other young assets are on the roster worth keeping? The Clippers didn't have to get rid of Jordan, or Griffin...

You get CP here, FA's will come, want nobody going to the Clippers before CP got there, now look at their roster. Why do you think they didn't trade Bledsoe this season? because, they know CP3 can walk this summer, he didn't sign his extension with the Clippers, who's to say he's going to sign there again? Who's to say he want? I'm just giving my opinion, anything can happen, no need to end this thread, it's a forum isnt it? We can discuss different things can't we? Or can we not? You tell me.

He was most likely just being polite. If we had gotten Davis in the draft, another stud this summer maybe he might have considered signing here. As it stands right now unless he is just desperate to be close to home CP3 is highly unlikely to sign here. He is more likely to follow Dwight to Atlanta.

I thought this talk ended like two years ago.

Oh wait we're not being serious.

I don't want Chris Paul here. He'd teach Kemba to be even smaller than he already is.

Don't want him.

The only rule that comes close to trumping the "never trust a guy with a chicks name for his first name" rule is the "never trust a dude with two first names as his first and last name" rule.

Chris Paul, Paul George, Kendall Marshall, David Lee..........you get the idea.

What about a guy named something like Kelly Paul?

Does the world end if a guy is named something like Leslie Kelly?
