This team isn't going anywhere with or without Gerrard with or without Wilshere

Woy Hodgson hurts my head. How in the H are Welbeck and Cleverly starting? Also Baines over Cole and finally we get to see Carrick-Gerrard together.

Cleverly faded in the 2nd half but Welbeck was one of the best players on the pitch.

Yeah, I like Welbeck. He should've had a pen, too. Wouldn't mind seeing Defoe in there, more of a goal threat, even if he doesn't offer the other stuff like Welbeck. Not a fan of Woy, though.

Ashley Young shouldn't be starting for sure. He's been awful this year.

Glen Johnson, and...Nathaniel Clyne might be worth a look at some point, if you don't mind some serious midgetry from your right back.

When Newcastle, a team with roughly six players under contract, deem you surplus to requirements and you're still a fringe contender for the national team...that's Canadian NT levels of fail.

Yeah the full back spots haven't really produced any consistent talent for England since Neville and Cashley. Every top premier league right back is foreign. Its not like Debuchy is doing any good for Newcastle right now either though but he has the excuse of being new to the league.

Absolutely. Or, he should have come on at half. Or, he should come on right now. Carrick can pass. No one else appears capable of passing.
