Denver SG/SFs

Post#1 » by joseph mamah » Thu Mar 28, 2013 5:33 pm

All things considered who would be your choice out of the 3 Nugget wings that may be available in the off season?

Iguodala is probably the most talented, but he's also the oldest and will have the highest price tag.

Wilson is a good all around player, but he's coming off a major injury and will cost us assets (probably at least a 1st rounder possibly more) to acquire.

Brewers probably the least talented, but wouldnt cost any assets and could probably be had for about 5/6 mil per.

Id go

Wilson
Brewer
Iguodala

Wilson has come back from the injury pretty well and has a reasonable contract. if we could get him without giving up too much I think hed be the best option.

if we get a scoring wing in the draft or FA Brewer could be a nice fit and we wouldnt be giving up any assets or breaking the bank. if we draft Dip he wouldnt fit unless it was as a swing man off the bench.

giving Iggy a long term/high dollar deal at this stage of his career worries me.

Chandler is my first choice but I'm starting to sour on throwing big money at iguodala. If we can't trade for WC, Brewer should be an attainable consolation prize.

Agree... Would consider swapping picks with the Nugs to acquire Chandler.

Stuckey
English
Clipper's 2nd rounder

for

Chandler
Fournier

I don't want to throw big money at Iggy and I'm not particularly high on Brewer long-term. The above trade nets us two young wings while giving Denver cap flexibility while also maintaining their depth. If we really intend on taking on a contract like Chandler's, I want another youngster with upside coming with -- like Fournier.

Take out English and the second rounder and I am all for. In fact Denver should just give us Chandler for nothing. We've done enough favors for them over the years. Not drafting melo, trading them Chauncey and giving them Afflalo. They owe us.

I think Wilson Chandler should fire his agent and PR team (if he has one) and hire the people on this board

There is a bigger infatuation with Chandler than there was with Darko back in the golden years

Yea, Wilson sure ain't gonna save us. And we shouldn't send out our 1st even if it drops to 8th or 9th.

This confuses me as well. I don't really understand this? He plays behind Gallanari one of the worst defensive small forwards in the league. I'm totally confused why everyone thinks he's worth a lotto pick.

Never really understood the love for Wilson Chandler.

He doesn't do anything well enough for us to want him "this" much.

I'd be happy to sign Brewer or even Iguodala if that was possible but trading for Chandler? Why?

People want Chandler for the same reason almost every off season people have wanted Chris Kaman. Chandler was born in Michigan. That's enough for people to become infatuated with a player.

Yeah I hear Chandler's name a lot too.

He's a decent role player but he's really not someone who's going to change this team in any meaningful way.

Well to be fair Chandler is at least an average player so while thats not saying much it does mean he'd be a huge upgrade over the total puke garbage we have right now.

theres not a whole lot of options at SF, unless we get Porter in the draft Chandler is probably the best of a bad situation. I dont think anybodys mentioned giving up our pick this year for him, if we traded a pick it would have to be a future lotto protected.

Now that Iggy is opting out, we can try to get him.

I think that gives us a good chance to get Wilson Chandler too...If Iggy re-signs with the Nuggets they'll probably considering trading Chandler mainly for cap space...And guess who has plenty of cap space this off-season?..Pistons!!. If we can steal Iggy from the Nuggets for a 4yr/40mil deal, I would be ecstatic...
