Jodie Meeks

Post#1 » by 0HeadAche0 » Sun Mar 31, 2013 4:44 am

This guy is great isn't he?

Hustles hard, plays solid defense, shoots a great 3 and has a very quick release. Features in our top 3 best lineups. Can anyone think of a better min guy LA have picked up in the last 10 years? blows guys like Shammond Williams or Smush out of the water.

+1
He is streaky, not great. Plays with no defense but giving 101% of effort all the time.

Well he doesn't play very good defense, he is not so smart when he does either, and gets abused by bigger bodies, but he does try hard, and i mean as hard as he can, which is great. I believe he'll get better at playing D when he gains more experience.

He also needs to improve he's ball handling skills and his triple threat moves, cuz as of tight now he's just a 2-dimensional player that either takes a 3 (which he is really good at) or drives out of control. Its up to him to get better, but if JJ Reddick could do it, so could Jodie

Jodie is a streaky shooter at best, so no, he isn't really good at shooting threes if he's on and off

If i remember correctly, he is shooting almost 37% from 3, which is really good

Blake is shooting just shy of 43% this year and I think Nash is even higher.

So?? Blake isn't the volume shooter Jodie is. He doesn't take as many either. Blake has been making them though, much needed for the team

Not for a 3 point specialist it isn't. That percentage is above average and fine if you do other things. But a guy whose job is to stand around the three point line, his **** should be around 40.

He tries hard, but I've been fairly disappointed with his inconsistency.

Averages:
Jodie Meeks: 36.5% | 1.6/4.4 per game
Steve Blake: 42.7% | 1.2/3.2 per game
Steve Nash: 43.8% | 1.1/2.6 per game

Not as high of a volume, but let's not act like he's taking 1.5 a game...

Blake's taken 117 and Meeks 307. Blake's played half the amount of games too.
